    People & their agendas...

How about he was in absolutely crap shape & health (as every report indicates if you take the time to read them), & the stoppage was legit?

Your apparent incredulity & indignation merely makes you look foolish.
You are just as guilty of claiming knowledge where you have ignorance as anybody else.

There is nothing more foolish than entertaining the notion this was legitimate. All the talk about his health is merely insurance for the threatened purse.

    Outrage is the new black...
You're just another guy presenting your opinion as indisputable (if you dissagree with me you're by definition an idiot, & that's all there is to it) fact.

You think he was legitimately knocked out? If someone placed a gun to your temple, & told you to call it, what would your answer be, given the stakes?

My immediate gut reaction was it was a dive.
I'm still not 100% sure, but after thinking about it, reading about it, & reflecting on Briggs career/ performances If I had to say one way or another, I'd say it was legit.

IMO he had no business being in that ring. NSW wouldn't sanction the bout & there are many articles talking about his condition/ health, some of which I've posted in this thread, & as somebody else said, anybody who was in the know is culpable.

As far as degrees of culpability, you'd have to work out some pretty solid criteria if you were going to go down that path.

    Knowledge.

    • Who knew, what did they know, when did they find out, and what did they do once they found out?

    • Did Green and his people, and the TV people, have any knowledge of the state, physical and financial, that Briggs was in??

    Necessity

    • Once Green and his people had knowledge of the mess Briggs was in, and once the TV people knew Briggs was in a bad state, what degree of necessity was operating that "forced" them to go ahead with the fight?? Make sure you distinguish between need on one hand, and desire on the other. Briggs both needed and desired this, Green and the TV people only desired it. They could have dumped Briggs and gone elsewhere. Briggs, on the other hand........
