Hagler and Robinson beat Monzon,... I don't know about Bitchkins, who is overrated just as badly,.. but seeing lil ol Emile griffith give him hell and fluster him very badly puts things into some perspective,...he is overrated, and his style was very, very EUROPEAN.... *SQUEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAALLLLL!!!!!!!!!! :TLC:

 

He was the most effective of the Euro style however. Vitali's style is the closest to Monzon's, but Vitali is a poor man's Monzon in every way.

I'm just purely talking today though. Monzon woulda beat Pavlik half way to death. And Martinez? Shit Monzon is Martinez's hero... not even Serg will say that he wins that fight.

 

Vitali's style is NOTHING like Monzon.

Jesus....there is NO RESEMBLANCE.

Vitali fights with his left hand down, throws body shots regularly, loves to pot shot and loves nothing more than to be followed around the ring by punchers.

All Monzon is,.. is Wlad, with a little more durability, but alot less power. If Monzon, had his style preserved, had a russian surname, and was based in Germany, he would be loathed and screamed about I'm afraid Xplosive.

 

The Thing is, REED has SEEN Daniel Jacobs SEVERAL Times...Pirog MADE Jacobs ALTER his Preferred Style of Fighting AND According to REED's Interpretation of the Bout, Pirog WON just about ALL of the 5 Rounds...

If U Knew AHEAD of Time that Daniel Jacobs would B KO'ed by Pirog, that STILL Would've Been VERY SURPRISING...But WATCHING the Fight Itself Play Out, it WASN'T The Least Bit Surprising...Pirog DOMINATED the 1st Round & Basically had Jacobs PETRIFIED of Trading w/Him, the Rest of the Way...

Not Only a KO, but a DOMINANT Win for Pirog...

I think I kinda underrated Pirog a bit. He just show some nice skills vs Jokeobs. I think Pirog possibly could beat Pavlik. Especially this Pavlik. Serg I still think would outbox him though.

Pirog could swivel, skip forwards and backwards, bop his head, dance and smile all he likes, meanwhile, Jacobs clearly landed more punches throughout the fight, you see when Pirog faces slower opponents in Europe he looks like an absolute monster, because in addition to swivelling and pivoting he usually can balance his offense very well and actually throws a tonne more punches than exhibited in this fight. Pirog can act like Jacobs deliveries were ineffective all he wishes, but the fact that he concerntrated on defence more than offence is a good indication that he was being nipped more frequently than he was dishing out, thus to the obvious eye aswell, Jacobs won all but the second round, the first was closer but Jacobs took it,.. I was skeptical, since it was a golden boy prospect on HBO and the Euro-enemy wasn't even granted a fucking interview which lead me to believe the robbery was in, but after taking a peak, I can't disagree with the scorecards at all.

Jacobs had the right plan, he was doing well, but he wasn't tough enough, nor had the chin,..his chin is BAD,..very very bad,.....Pirog is NOT a power-puncher..

 

TOTALLY disagREED...

Pirog Landed Almost ALL of the PUNCHES of CONSEQUENCE...There's NOfuckingWAY Jacobs Came Into that Fight WANTING to Stay AWAY from Pirog, yet that's PRECISELY How Jacobs Fought....

U've Seen CONSIDERABLY MORE of Pirog than REED has, but REED Dares to Say that he's Seen MORE Of Daniel Jacobs than YOU Have, Kauki...Bottom Line is, Pirog FORCED Jacobs Into Fighting COMPLETELY OUTSIDE of WHO he Customarily Is....

Regardless of how Jacobs usually fights, (it should differ depending on the opponents style), Pirog did land the punch of consequence indeed, landed 2,.. in the 2nd,.. and in the 5fth,.. but if Reed believes that doing the hoola hoop and smiling can win you rounds without landing more of your own,.. that's a thorough anti-action, anti-engaging precedent that so happens to favor non laboring bitch-fighters, and I acknowledge that Pirog didn't fight like a bitch, but he was the more defensive minded as Jacobs was throwing and landing more which is primarily the most important aspect for winning rounds :dunno:.

 

:stir: Also, Pirog has a more entertaining defensive apparatus than Arabham,..who is the Devon Malcolm of the boxing cot.

Once again in this post I have to agree with REED. There's noway Jacobs landed more punches than Pirog who was slipping and ducking most of Jacobs shots with his herky jerky in and out style. Hell, even the announcers where commenting on how good Pirog's defense was. The only round Jacobs won was the third I think when he started using movement and wasn't as flat footed, but like I said earlier he wasn't in shape enough to stick with it.

I saw one rd for Jacobs and another that was close enough to go either way but other than that Pirog won the other rds clearly.

One thing I like about Pirog is he exudes confidence. You can see that when he's in the ring that he's totally confident and completely relaxed and comfortable. I think he'd beat Martinez.

Please watch the fight again Lib four Lib... I didn't know the Compubox stats were a joke,.. but it sure looked like Jacobs threw more,.. some may have been blocked but certainly not all were,.. Jacobs clearly outlanded him, the stats back it up,.. most of the fight consisted of Jacobs moving,.. Pirog coming forwards,.. Jacobs unloading flurries while Pirog dipped and twisted, Jacobs moving away again..Pirog following....repeat the dose :nono:

 

Simply because he keeps the shell, when he should be shelling out, like that of Mario, and when I saw him running out the last 30 seconds of each round against Jermaine Taylor, the lips were folded above the gums, and the whiskers were like pins in a cushion, I can make the dog do that too.
