How is david Haye exciting? If he was exciting, i would have seen him fight. Who has he fought at heavyweight? Ruiz and Valuev? Give me a break man.

I read comments and reviews of the fights. Nothing has made me want to see him fight.

That may be, but you just linked a John Ruiz fight and questioned how and why a boxing fan didn't watch it......Nuff said.

He can clearly state what he wants. Doesn't mean I believe him, the guy has talked more than enough shit about boxing and has even gotten into pissing matches with a couple boxers so I have an idea where he stands. Also I didn't mean that all MMA guys want boxing to die, I would never believe such a broad statement like that.

You seem to have picked your side a long time ago as you're constantly the one defending MMA. I got no problem with that personally, but please don't sit there and make MMA seem all perfect in every aspect. Also I've realized that US boxing is heavily on the decline, I never disputed that.

The "America Is the Center Of the Universe" sentiment that has damaged boxing, is going to damage MMA too.

He's not joking, he isn't a boxing fan anymore. Finding excuses and justifications for why you shouldn't watch an exciting heavyweight/cruiserweight fight is not what any real boxing fan does

even if you do still claim to be a boxing fan, these are the types of "fans" that hurt the sport, people who haven't seen fights yet still seem willing to comment on them. you haven't see haye fight and you think he isn't worth lifting a finger to see him fight. you no longer qualify as a boxing fan.

Beyond pathetic. You had your mind made up on Haye long before you actually were shamed into watching him fight for the first time.

What are you 12? Shamed into watching him? I gave him a look so we can continue the debate. Yet you come back with Im no boxing fan, im hurting the sport, my mind is already made up, etc. As if you are some kind of authority. Instead of debating whats wrong with boxing, and ways we can fix it, you just decided to become defensive and childish. Thats pathetic.

One thing is clear is that the way boxing is Run in America is ridiculous. The sport itself is great. But everything from lack of Amatuers to greedy promoters is puting the sport in the US on a decline and not on the rise. As a boxing fan (hitman). This bothers me. And has pushed me further and further away. Not that i still dont watch as much fights as i can, but i have lost hope that it will be the great success it once was.

I have stated in this thread some of the things that are wrong with boxing (biggest being that the promoters and upper level fighters have no incentive to change because they are doing fine as it is, and making plenty of money) and have also stated in this thread in a response to Trplsec that I think boxing has a huge uphill battle to regain its popularity in this country and have stated reasons why this is the case.

Spare me the "are you ten years old?" bullshit. just because you cannot backtrack your statements. You want another thing that is wrong with boxing? People who claim to be fans yet don't exert any effort to watch some of the upper level boxers, who are exciting, fight. Instead they say things like:

I read comments and reviews of the fights. Nothing has made me want to see him fight.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

How is david Haye exciting? If he was exciting, i would have seen him fight.

You spend more time conjuring up reasons why you haven't watched David Haye fight than it would take to just watch him online or even highlights... seems something a fan would have an interest in doing. Instead you say:

I never felt the need to watch Haye vs. Ruiz online. Im sure i coudl have seen a haye fight if i wanted to. but why? And against Ruiz? No thanks

When this isn't about Jon Ruiz, its about David Haye - the guy we have been talking about, an exciting fighter who talks trash, KO's most fighters but can be dropped in return. This is a fighter that any real boxing fan would take a bit of time to see.

Why are you even engaging him?

How many times does he even post in the GD section in a thread that doesn't involve MMA (or that he doesn't involve MMA in), let alone doing so in some meaningful way?

100% agreed with the bold. I also think it has become more advantageous to young kids in this country to go to NFL, NBA and Wrestling (which can provide a solid background for an eventual MMA career) due to their rising popularity and the higher potential for college scholarships associated with these sports.

Of course it is. Especially with your dishonest research. Post my whole quote. Fuck it, i will do it. Bunch of babies on here.

Boxing is at a low point right now. I dont know what will fix her. Hopefully something very soon. You should give MMA a try. There are great fights every week, and its fun much better. Because MMA is around, i dont get too down when boxing dissapoints me like tonight. I just know some good shit will be on. Like tonight. UFC on Versus 2.

Because i disagree with you, doesnt make you right. Why would i backtrack my statement? You are saying stupid shit like im shamed into watch a fight. I wasnt shamed. I choose to do it so we can continue the debate. Yet when i gave my opinion on the guy, you couldnt take it. You want me to have your opinion. Yet im not alone in my opinion Mr. Boxing Authority. There are many people who arent fans of David Haye. There are many people that arent interested in the guy. He knocked out Ruiz? HOLY SHIT!!!! Let me go run and see who this monster is.

Give me a break man. You are acting childish at times. You gave your opinions on boxing's decline and then came right back to attack me. Why?
