I'm sure none of these guys are making any money. Wouldn't be surprised if there's a low guarantee with a higher PPV end. I'd guess their breakeven point will be around 200,000...even with that I bet they lose money.

If they're doing the theater thing with this fight, they should offer to interrupt the ppv broadcast with the JuanMa-Rafael Marquez fight.

I would love Shane to come out and look like a superstar in his next fight.

It would enhance Floyd's legacy.. :bears:

The Staples centre could sell out with Ortiz and el Conelo on the undercard.

Nice! I hope GBP puts on another, "awesome" under-card, like they did for Marquez/Diaz II.

Let's see if they can match: Linarez/Juarez, Guerro/Casamayor & Pirog/Jacobs. Man, was that an awesome under-card. I can't decide which was more scintillating, the drama of Linarez/Juarez or the sheer suspense of who would win Guerro/Casamayor.

It's Saul Alvarez-Carlos Baldomir and Victor Ortiz-Vivian Harris.

I'm interested to see how Canelos coming along, but fuck this PPV sucks. Why did HBO bother to pick it up?

Is the suggestion that HBO wanted the fight?

No. I thought this was an independent PPV, and only recently found out it was gonna be carried by HBO. Maybe i was misinformed from the start.

Ortiz is a joke to lose to Maidiana that guy sucks fucking ass. Wouldn't be shocked if Ortiz loses to Harris.

That's what I wrote several posts ago. Unless things changed HBO pulled out of this card and GBP's is running it solo.

    From the Montoya article:

You wouldn't expect HBO to actually let GBP go it alone, would you?

He's a lot better than the versions of Resto and Arnaoutis he'd just got done beating.

Rafael says Daniel Ponce De Leon-Mickey Roman is close to being made as the opener for this card.

Is this the fight that convinces anybody to buy this card?

Ponce vs. Escalante would be great fun, less enthusiastic about this preamble

Would you settle for Escalante-Edel Ruiz on Telefutura tonight?
