Who's on the Cloud bandwagon? This dude is a beast, and will lay an ass whuppin on old man Glenn Sat night. He's a rich man's version of a prime Jeff Lacy. Then assuming Chad beats Pascal next week, it'll set up Cloud vs Dawson... a fight in which I'll be torn, since I like both guys.

Who else is a Cloud believer?

Cloud is like a better version of Jeff Lacy. More handspeed, better combos, better two fisted power, and better headmovement then Jeff had.

They're nothing alike aside from the fact that they both swing hard :notallthere:

That was the best comparison I could think of. Only natural considering they're roughly around the same size.

I'm afraid Glen will beat Cloud. You have to out box Johnson he's a speacilist at taking will.:TLC:

If he doesn't beat Johnson he's EXPOSED. But I'm more than sure he will,.. however I'm afraid Cloud's ambitions end once he challenges Chad,.. Chad is maturing, he's only getting better, and is a great fighter, number one at Lightheavyweight, and if he took the same chemicals as his son Tomasz Adamek, he'd even be a force at heavyweight.

I love watching Cloud (like I did, say, Kasim Ouma, for similar reasons) and Im a fan no matter what happens saturday. But this is a tough fight for him. There were times against both Gonzalez & Woods where their pressure seemed to crowd him a bit, and although he responded with impressive counters, his output dropped and he seemed slightly vulnerable to being swarmed and overwhelmed with volume. And even at 41 who better in the sport at bringing that heat than Johnson? Certainly still better than Woods or Gonzalez.

Im picking Cloud by tko, but not with huge conviction and I expect it to be a rough ride for him. But like I said, Im a fan either way since I love his style.

:scratcher: I hate this shit. 'Exposed'? As what? He's beaten Gonzalez and Woods so he's better than C+ guys like that. If he can't be a B+ guy like Johnson then we've found his level. Why the fuck is that him being 'exposed'? When Everton beat Wigan and Burnley then lose to Man Utd is that them being 'exposed'? Silly bullshit.

Exposed from the 'monster' 'bulldozer' 'beast' he is being touted as,..because Glen Johnson is frankly well past it,... if he is schooled or outslugged on the inside.. then yeah.. his apparent 'strengths'...will be EXPOSED.... but, frankly... I dont see that happening,..

What a hype job, still with that said one of the few fights Ill be watching. Along with the Dawson-Pascal fight.

If Cloud makes it through Johnson, he's certainly not beating Chad.

Why sharpen the knives, though? Every young fighter's hyped, not all of them become p4pers, isn't that just them finding their level?

A long time champ who cons the public feasting on bums then steps up and gets his ass kicked - thats exposed. A young guy taking progressive steps up the ladder exactly like he should and finding his level? No deception to 'expose' there.

I agree if he loses to the very elite like Dawson, he isn't exposed,..but I don't think Johnson is any good these days, and not all that good at his peak, he was ok, but not a great fighter,..if the nature of a Cloud loss to Johnson, comes via way of Johnson beating Cloud at his own game,.. one would have to consider him exposed as a poorer version of an aging fighter on the downward slide. I really think it will not happen though, infact I'm very, very sure Cloud will kick Glencoffe's arse.

I like Cloud, but to date he's been the victim of perhaps the worst managerial and promotional advice of any recent fighter. And to go through all of that... and THEN decide to sign with Don King, who has to live on his knees in order to receive TV slots these days... I don't know, just trying to figure out which will come first, his first loss or that he gets anal-raped by the industry.

Once he resumes to fighting more than once a year (not the best way to spend your prime), I'll gravitate more towards him. He's a fun fighter to watch - when he fights. Not completely sold on his being the future, though.

The guy's making a title defense against a name opponent on a Devon Alexander under card. I haven't seen him on a single magazine cover. If there's been an attempted 'hype job' it hasn't been very successful.

Boxing fans are so fucking negative (though calling you a 'boxing fan' is a stretch). A young prospect is automatically a 'hype job' and we should all sharpen our knives so we feel vindicated & clever when he's 'exposed'. What a load of shite.

Dawson had plenty of difficulty with Johnson the first time...of course, his people waited on making that rematch.

And one thing that even his son, Adamek, did was find Dawson's chin.

So if he did go up to heavyweight, "chemicals" or not, would he be a force, or just up a Creek?

I agree. Glen has still beat some top level ppl. It would just be a bad style match up. Yusaf Mack beat Chris Henry down and couldn't get pass Glen. Henry is now #1 contender. It's high speed chess! I think Cloud would do better against Pascal and Dawson but pick him to lose to Johnson and even Henry.:scratcher:

no i agree, and I probably should've worded my previous post differently. I meant that prior to King, he was stuck listening to shitty advice from Bonnani and Richie Boy Entertainment, neither of whom know shit about shit.

Then from there, once able to think on his own, he decides to sign with King.

All in all, he doesn't seem very bright.

Fighters do improve,.. and the rematch certified that. He's got plenty of size and speed, some chemicals would assist him greatly,.. but I say once again... I don't know if he or anybody else is on some form of shit already, and that's the proud beauty of boxing that some of us fight very hard to preserve.
