Two great champions, about the same size. Is it Hawk Time, or does Lightning Lou electrify his man?

I think this would be a real crowd-pleaser, but my instincts tell me Pryor would have more problems dealing Ambers than vice-versa. I like a 9-6 kind of decision for Ambers, here. Anyone have any thoughts?

I like Pryor's advantage in speed of both hand and foot and the fact that he can jab and move when need be to give him the edge over Ambers in a fantastic punch-a-thon

I've heard Lou Ambers being described as "An Animal". It is also noteworthy that much of Henry Armstrongs reputation is based on both fighting and beating this guy, so it's clear we are dealing with a guy who can fight. Sounds thrilling. Without the mixture, I still think Pryor might shade it, on speed and technical ability, but it's close, all the way.

Never seen Ambers, but whilst speaking on the old timers... I'd have love to see Pryor vs Ike Williams. From the little Ive seen of Williams... he was a bad muthafucka!

I, too, am an Ike Williams fan

I remember someone asking Georgie Benton how he felt Pernell Whitaker would do against Ike Williams. This was at the height of Whitaker's Lightweight reign, before he left the division.

"Man, forget about it." Take it for what it's worth.

I've seen as much as Lou as it out there, I guess.

Great fighter for his time, I think he could have had classics with Pazienza and Haugen, two lightweights bigger than him with modern styles, and beaten them both.

Aaron would have been too much for him, though.

Too modern, too strong, too well-conditioned, a much better boxer, and too hard of a puncher.

Pryor by TKO 7, but he has to get up from the canvas in the first to do it, and dominates from there after wards in a fierce encounter.

He beat Henry Armstrong, LOL. He isn't going to waste his time stooping to fight Pazienza or Haugen in Mythical Match-ups. I loved watching Pryor put it all out there (he was a beast), but subtracting Arguello, his resume is left for dead by Ambers.

If anyone needs a lesser opponent here, it's the less-proven man. That is unquestionably Pryor.

Don't think Lou is going to "waste his time" fighting anyone as he is long dead.

Aaron is a half blind shell of his former self now living in Ohio, so I guess we won't ever really know who would have won, shall we?
