Ah, good for Chad then, a nice bit of practice until someone decent comes along.

I think he'll handle him clearly. Chad is just as athletic, and he's a diff league skill wise.

I agree! Glen is a little guy. When he fights a big LHW: Dawson, Henry, pascal, shumenov, Griffin etc. We will really blow his wad. lean on him, reach and all. Great fight and I respect him for respecting Glen!:kidcool:

How do you guys think Bradley would do against Kotelnik and do you think it's a more dangerous fight for him than Alexander?

johnson was 192lbs in the ring according to HBO. sure henry does hit harder than johnson, but the difference in skill, timing and experience is so vast it leads me to believe Tavoris Cloud will thoroughly whip "Hurricane", if that fight ever comes to fruition in 2028 like you planned.

    LOL

The almighty, all-conquering, man of steel who can leap buildings in a single bound Alexander needs help from hometown judges to beat Amir's leftovers...interesting.

I'm a big fan of dawson who tends to get hurt in every fight. Tarver and Johnson buzzed him but were too passive or slow to follow-up. I'm not so sure Pascal wouldn't jump on him...not to mention the fight is in Montreal.

Bernard Hopkins stopped this guy, Johnson. Sven Ottke whitewashed him. Clinton Woods went 1-1-1 with the guy, with their last fight coming three years ago, which Clinton clearly won.

Guys like Cloud need to be improving on their performances, especially as Glen "Road Kill" Johnson isn't getting any younger.

175lb is a pretty average division.

So there's no logical reason for Amir to fight a lightweight next time out. Plans should be to clean out the division.

Again, I haven't seen the fight but what I've read...seems eerily similar to most of the reports when Khan fought the guy.

I don't recall anyone disputing Khan-Kotelnik, it may not have been that impressive but it was very very clear. That fight last night was anything but. Anyhow, it may be a good thing because the management of Khan or Bradley are certainly more likely to throw their guys in with Alexander now.

Well as we all know, the "Common Opponent" route is not always the safest guide for determining the outcome of fights.

However, there is a case to be made as to why Amir Khan, engaging as he did in liberal doses of leap-amateurism, was able to do a better job on Kotelnik than Devon Alexander, he of "staying in the pocket", was.

Kotelnik's achilles heel is obviously movement, thats been obvious for years, he is pretty slow. When he doesn't have to deal with that, as against maidana, the 2nd half of the witter fight, rees, abdullaev, he is among the best in the division. H would make a good test for Ortiz now, to see how far he has come since the maidana fight.

Ummm no, it was nothing alike. Khan pretty much won a shut out against Kotelnik, no controversy whatsoever. Boring it may have been, but it was a dominant win.

Alexander LOST to Kotelnik, who funnily enough, hadn't fought since being whupped by Khan. The boy is hype, a good fighter, but not ready for "twitter boy" or Bradley yet.

Because Alexander is ridiculously overrated, and Kotelnik is criminally underrated, as is Khan's win over him.

Haven't able to watch last night's card yet, but if Cloud's performance looked as it reads like then it sounds like that's a decent assessment of the division.

Wasn't overly impressed with what I saw of Beibut Shumenov on the recent FNF card, either...although from what I've seen of both, Cloud and Shumenov have the right ingredients for a damn good scrap...and it would be a "unification" bout.

Would love to see that one in the near future.

Clinton woods never beat Johnson clearly. In fact I thought he lost all 3 fights clearly. Speaking of Woods he fought Cloud and got the shit kicked out of him anyways.

He beat his ass in their 3rd fight, no two ways about it. Woods fought Cloud and dropped a decision. That's 175lbs for you. The land of thrilling, action-packed decisions.

Woods didn't beat anyones ass. He had a good last 3 rounds. He was the 1 getting smacked around the first 9 rounds. Johnson should have gotten that decision. Cloud on the other hand won a dec against Woods but beat his ass in the process. That fight was an ass kicking.
