I think Dzin's a bit neat and precise to contend with Williams' volume, personally. The way to beat Williams is with hard single shots and movement, IMO, like Martinez did early. Dzin's too methodical and thoughtful I think. (I think Mosley could really cap off his career nicely knocking the shit out of Williams though, if he has ANYTHING left.)

Good fighter though, there are definitely guys in and around the mix he could beat. Cintron perhaps, Angulo & Mosley probably. Be good to see him get a chance.

Dzinziruk has problem with small swarming types, who come at him with volume and from all angles, so except for the being small part Paul Williams is actually a stylistic nightmare for Dzinziruk. But if you come at Dzinziruk in a straight line, upright with straight punches he´s gonna eat you up, jab and circle around you all night. I doubt he´d have any trouble with Cintron or Angulo.

Nevertheless Dzinziruk is also past his prime. Most thought he lost to Konecny, who is a only a good European level fighter. Though Konecny´s odds against Ryan Rhodes sure look tempting.

That's a bad fight for Angulo. Haven't seen Spinks lately and don't know what he has left but Angulo is so fucking slow I wouldn't be shocked to see Spinks slipping and countering the shit out of him.

Well how can you acurately discribe how much Corey has left? Bundridge may have beaten him but that doesn't mean a guy like Angulo who punches slow as molases would.

I'm not saying Spinks should be the favorite, all I'm saying is it's a dangerous fight for Angulo and could have disastrous effects if he loses to a guy so far gone as Spinks is. HBO would probably dump Angulo completely over something like that.

Because I saw Cory go life and death with fuckin Deandre Lattimore over a year ago. A fight he looked slow, and very faded in. I dont need to see the K9 fight. It he got stopped by a bum like K9, Angulo would hospitalize him.

Cory had no legs left in the Lattimore fight. They couldnt have been any better vs Bumridge.

I'm thinking it has something to do with the Klitschko's... that has triggered this wrist-slapping mode,.. I've always said Wlad is "Winky Wright -level" monotonous,.. but it isn't printed that way on American based websites... what is printed can be unravelled into many sets of double standards and smere that can be traced back to it's hateful core, and I think that's pathetic, and indeed will say so. You on the otherhand...I take it,.. rather enjoy this status quo?

The only bias I have, is one that favors activity and aggression,.. they don't have to be on the front foot, they can be on the backfoot so long as they engage frequently and outland thier opponent,..because this attitude in fighters, when facing each other, often makes for "Fights of the year"... I don't care if Paul Williams doesn't resemble any cute slick slippery sexy flashy shiny great fighter of the past,.. his mittens meet his opponents head and body more frequently and he deservedly wins on points in action packed entertaining bouts.

Now if my interest in Western European DNA lately or European tribes and culture sets off some insecure triggers I am sorry to hear that,.. I do have pride in my continent of heritage,..if this principle alarms you,.. there's plenty of work cut out,.........like.. tracking down all the black and hispanic posters who are equally proud? ,.... :crafty: Oh no no no no no..

Steve Kim has an article up on Angulo and Shaw over at Maxboxing...it included the following:

Thought I read somewhere that Martinez offered to fight at a catch-weight.

    Don't count out Williams, folks.

Paul is highly skilled, big, and tough.

I thought Martinez won the first fight, but expect a much better Williams this time around.

Same here. Last time, Martinez was a let down fight for Paul after Pavlik pulled out. This time, it's for all the marbles at middleweight and I expect a sharper, better Williams to beat Martinez convincingly in another fun fight to watch.
