"Adamek 2-1" Lederman reading his scores of Adamek/Briggs II after three rounds, the first of which Briggs won by way of a knock-down. Nevermind that every other fight Lederman has ever scored he's quoted in terms of score, not rounds.

I will continue to add to this thread. Can anyone else help?

I'm not trying to break a story. I'm not a fucking journalist. It was the first example I could come up with. I was hoping people could add others.

That's a good one. And very recent.

How about HBO's airing of Taylor vs. Primera, Bunema, Marquez, Joppy, Edouarb, and Ouma?

You are Ross Greenberg! I can think of an explanation no more sensible as to why you feel so obviously threatened by this thread. Love it or leave it bitch.

The example in the opening post of this thread was the most retarded thing since I'm guessing the last thread you started

Maybe its just because it's typed - sometimes you read a thread, its full of nothing but a retarded opening and insults back and forth... fucking cracked me up for about ten minutes reading this.

honestly i have never thought the HBO bias has ever been overwhelmingly strong. obviously they play favorites a little, but if you are truly affected by it then you are one of the weak minded. For a bit the HBO crew was pretty biased towards DLH, but even they recognized the closeness of the Whitaker/Quartey fights and told DLH he should have given rematches. And recognized that he blew the tito fight.

I'll preface this example by stating that I scored the fight for De La Hoya, but...DLH-Mosley II.

I believe it was the following day Lampley hosted Jim Rome's radio show, and continued on with comments of a similar theme to the ones he ended the telecast on...until he interviewed Mosley, and was either very apologetic or actually apologized for some of his comments (don't remember which).

Now, would he have apologized if he knew what Mosley had used to help him win him that fight?

Are you looking for just bias in scoring or portrayal of a fight, how they portray certain fighters, or does bias in terms ofthe hyping/shilling they do for house fighters count?

Calling Kelly Pavlik the "face of American boxing" or whatever Lampley's exact words were was clear hype on behalf of an HBO fighter.

There's an abundance of fighters that HBO's talkers have sold to their viewers...Dominic Guinn perhaps one of the worst examples of it, though part of the reason why it went over so well was because it was somewhat early in Steward's time at HBO, before everyone knew what a salesman he was...so when Steward was hyping him, a lot of people bought it without much second-thought.

Max Kellerman, post-fight interview with Alexander after he beat Urango, seemed absolutely desperate to shit on Ricky Hatton, despite Ricky being basically retired since 2009. If Hatton was still active, and still relevant, then it might have been OK but basically referencing one of the lesser-lights on Hattons resume and juxtaposing his performance against that of Alexanders was pretty cheap and low, especially considering how Hatton's resume is light years ahead of Alexanders.

There's numerous examples of Kellerman favoring a fighter during a broadcast like he did with Zahir Raheem in the Acelino Freitas fight.

I think it was after Vitali Klitschko beat Corrie Sanders, and was hugging brother Wladimir, that Lampley got choked up like he was watching a Nicholas Sparks movie.

Not sure that's example of "bias"...maybe more an example of how heartfelt Lampley's cheerleading is.

Every video vignette HBO makes of one of it's house fighters is essentially a sales pitch...so that you at home will not only watch HBO's house fighters fight, but eventually come to love them as much as Jim Lampley does.

That Merchant quote about one of his European ring entrances, right?

"striking" would have been a better word. Larry Merchant thinking Klitschko is "striking" is hardly an example of HBO Bias.

No. Just an example of Merchant's latent homosexuality - something we've all been embarrassed about for years, but something we've learned to accept.
