Sat marks the first time in a long time that two YOUNG, and prime light heavys will share a ring together. 175 has been the nursing home the past few years. In any case, this is a very good matchup. Ive got Chad by clear UD. Both are fast and athletic, but Chad has far more skills and along with his height edge and southpaw style I see him being too much for Pascal.
Pascal win some rounds big and may hurt Dawson a couple of time but Dawson is too complete and consistent for him down the stretch. Dawson 116-112
Dawson wins going away, further cementing claims of being the best p4p in the world after Floyd retires.
Dawson will probably win, though Pascal is a live underdog. Which means Dawson will become the next hideously overrated P4P'er
Yeah! Dawson likes to stay clean and doesn't mix it up well. Chad is a converted south-paw; so his power is in his lead hand. He is very long and tall so he don't like to Hook and his jab is good but not a KO punch. Jean is a guy that can get wild and jump in when you least expect. Good speed good power and hard to time. Remember they are in Montreal any close high activity rounds goto Pascal. I have Dawson SD but with a flash KD and some close rounds.......could go Pascal SD.:blackcloud:
Yeah, Chad is gonna have to stay consistent in this fight, and win clearly. If its at all close they're gonna give it to Pascal. If Chad fights like he did vs Adamek though, he'll win by a wide margin. Overall though.... he BETTER win this fight. Pascal is a good fighter, but he's Froch's son. Chad has no business losing to a man that Carl the clumsy beat.
Pascal is a poor fighter and in my opinion would never have held a title at 175 in any other era. I saw him fight Paul Smith in the Commonwealth Games final in 2002 and he looked distinctly average. One advantage he might have here is that Dawson is not a pressing type of fighter that guys like Paul Smith and Froch were. But this should be a paint-job nonetheless. Chad is not a puncher and Pascal has some steel so 116-112 or 118-110 would be perfectly acceptable. That said it is in America so expect 120-104 with Pascal being docked 6 points in the first round, 4 for showing up, 1 for holding, and 1 for otherwise losing the round.
I sure hope to hell Chad wins,.. it'll sour me irrepairably if Pasque tossed off the upset, and with a faction of bizzare haters segmenting by the week for Chad, my fondness grows stronger,.. I hope Pascal wobbles him, but loses a decision so that everybody jumps off,..I'd rather clip a triangle around a horse, than have to drag a chariot full of knee jerkers. :TLC: Everybody off --->
I like both fighters, though a bigger fan of Dawson. I wouldn't mind seeing an upset, but not exactly sure in what area Pascal holds an edge, other than toughness and hometown crowd. The only thing I'm truly interested in seeing is Dawson fight like he cares about creating a fan base. It's been a long time since he's been in a fight that warranted a second look. Officially, I'm going with Dawson by UD, hopefully in an entertaining fight.
It would be nice if Pascal won, then maybe Froch might just get some fucking long overdue respect off a few people on here
Bobby would have put Chad on ice in under six rounds, bro. Chad would have landed on him early and danced away to be sure, but Foster had a way of sizing up southpaws, and would have finished him off with the big hooks and right hands under and over. Chris Finnegan, 1968 Olympic Gold Medalist gave Bob trouble, but he could take a punch a lot better than Chad. Karl

Dawson by Close Decision. I like both fighter though, so I don't really mind who wins right now but it might change as the fight progresses.
