It's very different....Couture's strengths didn't play into Brock's weaknesses, say in the way Mir's JJ did the first time around. And so Brock's wrestling background did 'hold water', because it negated Couture's wrestling. Besides that, Brock had a huge physical advantage, and although he was a novice, it wasn't his very first MMA fight, as it is for Toney I want Toney to win....i like him as a character, you never know what he's gonna say next (partly because he's not the easiest to make out). Also, just for sheer hilarity, it'd be fun if Toney won.

That's the point I was trying to make.

Neil was right, he looks awful, but thing is, Coiuure chin has turned into glass in the recent years, he was even wobbled by Coleman ffs

depends on your definition of experience i guess. he's been in against some guys Ive heard of, who kicked the shit out of him, and won fights in the midwest versus absolute cans. the fact that the chap came into the ring wearing basketball shorts tells me he probably didnt even have much time to prepare for the bout.

That fight with Greer was a year ago. Man, Toney looked horrible in that one. He used to be really great.

Yeah man, that's what I've been saying for months now. 2010 Toney is not a good fighter.

I want Couture to fight a smart fight, take him down,.. and choke him into unconciousness. But Couture.. is older than Hopkins,.. and the fight begins standing up,..there's a nice chance the boxer will get a concussive pot shot in, if Couture is going to strike he'd better keep his hands up, and rattle off some low-kicks. But yes, I want Couture to win, simply because as most people have said, Toney is a thorough cunt, and always has been.

I haven't seen him fight in years, but damn, he fell right off. He's the last of the 90s fighters that I really followed in depth. He lasted longer than most of those guys: Evander, Riddick, Oscar, Roy, Lennox, Canizales, Norris, Pernell, Bernard...the list goes on and on.

Toney's economical style allowed him to stay topshelf longer than most, but the great ones aren't immune to the ravages of time. Sad to see such shocking proof.

James was great before the UFC even came out. One of the best fighters of the past 25 years.
