Makes sense for once. EXCEPT an ancient Couture is not the best mma guy. He is a very beatable mma guy with a glass chin. We shall see.

 

I just have this feeling that Couture might just be stupid enough to stay on the feet for a split second too long

 

The thing people aren't thinking about is Couture isn't some freestyle wrestling stud that has amazing double leg shots. He works clinches, presses guys against the cage, dirty boxes and works takes downs from that.

At his age and with his reflexes he's not Chael Sonnen in so much that he can shoot for a take down quickly as a counter to a kick or punch.

I think Toney will have opportunities in this fight to land some shots. It won't be 15 seconds of stand up and then a Couture take down in my opinion.

 

Of course he isn't. Toney has trained seriously since the Jirov and Holyfield fights.
