This bullshit is staged. There is no way no how Shane would agree to this if there was a chance he would lose to O'neal. They basically agreed to spar and make it look as legit as possible but Shane knew ahead of time he was gonna get the nod. Plus if stupid Shaq wants to be a bad man he should fight somebody his own size. Shaq vs Klitschko would be more interesting and fair.

Would it really? O'Neal is not a fighter. Someone his own size would bury him in a sport like ours. I'm not saying this was a fair fight (& of course, it was staged) but the boys gave it a decent swing for a sparring match --- Mosley obviously struggled with O'Neal's size, & O'Neal, for his part, simply struggled with having no discernible Boxing ability or experience. Against someone his own size, he'd be KO'd...& it wouldn't take a Klitschko brother, even in this tepid Heavyweight pool, to do it. However, I agree completely with your sig ::

I happened to be watching TV when it came on. I immediately switched the channel. Still had a bad taste in my mouth from watching the Shaq/Dela debacle. "Golden Boy" can eat a dick. :shit: Can't wait for the next HBO broadcast, Golden Boy Rising Star vs. Aged, 2 weight classes lighter, former contender.
Makes sense, I guess. It looked to me like both were trying to win. It looked to me like Shane was hoping to knock Shaq down. Shaq throwing that multiple-punch combo at the end of the 5th is extremely impressive. It's not easy to have gas at the end of the 5th round when you are a rank novice, as Shaq is. Hell, it's not easy to have gas at the end of the 1st.
Yeah, it's a series where Shaq challenges pro athletes at their own games. It was actually an idea Steve Nash came up with and was trying to get put together. Unfortunately he made the mistake of mentioning the idea to Shaq when they both played for Phoenix and Shaq being the great guy that he is, stole the idea. I think in the end he wound up paying Steve Nash some money, but that was only after lots of people criticized him for what he did. Shaq is an ass.
