That's it...Vassili Jirov. Fabrice Tiozzo was a cruiser champ for a bit as well.

    Diulio Loi as a Lightweight
Jr. Lightweight---maybe Flash Elorde although he would have had a hell of a time against Pac.
    Featherweight...Naz? Pac?

TYPICAL TYPICAL TYPICAL SLYSTAFF BULLSHIT LIST.

This fucking guy posts a "Greatest Brothers Of All Time" list and leaves out the Fullmers but includes the Marquez brothers.

Now he has a "Greatest Southpaw" thing and expects people to list Joe Calzaghe under "Other".

    Well fuck right off Mate.......

Any undefeated southpaw, with guys like Eubank, Jones, Lacy and a pre-Pavlik Hopkins on his resume...needs mentioning.

A 100 year old Eubank, a 40 year old Chinny Jones, and a close fight vs. an ancient Hopkins.....incredible resume there by Calslappy...

best PRIME fighter in Calzaghe resume is Kessler.....kinda sad...really.

    It's been Pacquiao and Pernell.

We'll have to wait until Manny's career is over but you could make the argument he's already surpassed Whitaker.

I would have pacquaio and whitaker head to head, its pacquaio's if he can either beat mayweather or one or two other significant welters or junior middle fighters.

btw, at junior middle it would have to be winky wright not vasquez

The lad is an undefeated Southpaw. Period. This is a list for Southpaws. If Floyd the Faggit is great cos he is undefeated then old Joe deserves a mention.

He owns a win over a guy who owns a win over a guy who owns a win over a guy who just kicked the shit out of a very much defeated Southpaw, Chad "Up Dawsons Creek Without A Paddle" Dawson.

So, using the Floyd Resume Assessment Universally Despised {F.R.A.U.D.}, this means Calzaghe also owns Dawson.

PUT ME ON THE BOARD!! PUT ME ON THE FUCKING BOARD!!! WILLIAMSON!!! WILLIAMSON!! WHERE'S THE FUCKING CHALK??? PUT ME ON THE FUCKING BOARD!!!!!!!

Calm your horse mate...i don't give a fuck about Mayweather!!!! Dawson is just another guy that Hopkins and Calzaghe decided to bypass even though they could have won the fight easily.

I love Sly, I really do...but you cannot have undefeated southpaws who won titles in two divisions not even figuring on your list, especially when you consider that most people here would have picked Joe to beat Marvin Hagler.

Yeah, but Kessler is overrated, his loss to Ward and his win over Chad Dawson Sr. proves this.:scratcher:

The notion that guys like Raul Marquez should happy co-exist with Joe Calzaghe on an "Other" list is quite preposterous.

I think Joe Calzaghe should be on a list if you came up with, say, ten candidates. It's fair to say he'd be making up the numbers, & wouldn't receive any educated votes, but he should still be listed (like Trinidad, if you were talking about Puerto Rico's greatest fighters in history, for instance).

Calzaghe was a terrific fighter, but his career is merely very good, not great.

    Hill and Tszyu aren't southpaws.

Vazquez vs Winky is close. Winky wins resume by about the same amount as he lost the head-to-head, i.e. sorta close, but clear.

I'm not of that opinion, but if you are, I see no real outrage about it (though many will). Hagler is too respected & revered for Calzaghe to get a fair shake in that discussion, but that's not to say Calzaghe would've beaten him.
