Tomasz Adamek vs Michael Grant.

It could turn out to be a good fight LL, relax and enjoy, bro.

 

Both fighters look pretty confident. I think Grant is gonna get wasted though.

 

Round 1 - Grant towers over Adamek in the staredown. Grant starts with the jab. Grant with a right hand. Adamek circles. Nothing from Adamek in the first minute. Wide left by Adamek misses. Grant throws a couple of jabs. Grant still throwing weak jabs. Adamek with a body shot jab. Grant three more jabs. Adamek body shot. Nice left by Adamek, good counter right for Grant. Grant with the jab again. Nice hook for Adamek. Wild at the bell and both fall down.

Close round - Should be tied but probably Adamek 10-9

 

For a second there I thought Grant "broke his legs" again

 

Grant hurt Adamek with an upper at the end of the round - Adamek managed to hide it.

 

Round 2- Grant starts with the jab again. Adamek circles. Right for Grant. More jabs by Grant. Jab knocks Adamek back. Nice right for Grant. Left hook for Adamek catches Grant. But it’s one and done for Adamek. Grant backing up. Nice left for Adamek. Grant catches Adamek with a nice right hand. Grant reaching with the jab. Lefts by Adamek in the clinch. Overhand right for Adamek. Nice combo for Adamek to Grants face. Wild at the bell again.

Sloppy fight vs. a shot Grant

 

Round 3- Adamek circles while Grant jabs. Grant not doing more than jabbing thus far. Wide left for Adamek. Straight right for Grant. Nice hook for Grant knocks Adamek to the ropes. Hook by Adamek and then holds. Grant back to jabbing. Adamek body shot. Another wide hook misses for Adamek. Nice right for Adamek, Grant takes it well. Adamek landing more late in the round. Nice shots for Adamek but doesn’t seem to have power. Grant fires back with a nice right uppercut. Pace picking up and Grant gets more aggressive.

Adamek 30-27, but close

 

Grant needs to spear Adamek in the belly with his long right hand.

 

Round 4- Grant starting with the jabs. Adamek circles again. Big right for Adamek. Nice body shot for Adamek. Grant tries for uppercut but misses. More jabs for Grant. Nice right for Grant. Left staggers Grant briefly. Another right for Adamek. Clash of heads, but it looks minor. HUGE left for Adamek. Grant’s chin has improved or Adamek can’t dint cotton candy. Slow left hook by Grant. Everett Bigfoot Martin might be faster.

Round 5- They tell Grant that Adamek is tired as Grant huffs and puffs. Adamek pushes Grant. Grant responses by doing nothing. Jab for Grant. About four punches thrown in the first minute of the round. Nice right for Grant. Slapping jab for Grant. Nice right for Grant. Adamek with punches to the chest. Adamek wild and misses. More jabs for Grant. Combo for Adamek. Adamek looks to be trying to run a foot race. Two nice rights for Grant. Good left hook for Grant. Shot Grant wins a round.

Adamek 49-46

 

Round 6- Telling Grant to go to work. Adamek wild shots and Grant shoves him off. Grant working the jab again. Adamek misses two hooks. Grant not throwing. Grant misses huge hook. Adamek lands a left and misses a right hook. Grant still looking like a one handed fighter. Adamek jumps in but does not damage. Nice left right for Grant. Adamek lands a nice jab. Adamek getting in and out. Another head butt. Grant bitches out for a second. Adamek lands a left. Nice combo for Adamek. BIG right for Adamek and GRANT nails him to end the round. DAMN.

Adamek is bleeding now.

Round 7- Grant jabs to the body. Backing Adamek up. Adamek holds. Nice right for Adamek. Nice right for Adamek. Grant working a jab. Adamek with a nice combo. Another strong combo by Adamek. Grant tries an uppercut. Grant attacks at the bell.

Round 8- Grant moving forward while Adamek circles. Grant with a jab. Adamek with a shot in the clinch. Not looking impressive tonight. Going 8 with a guy who was trashed years ago by Jameel McCline doesn’t say much. Grant still does nothing. Right for Adamek. Grant cracks him in the back of the dome. Jab for Grant. Grant still jabbing. Adamek doing nothing really. Adamek left misses. Adamek bleeding again. Grant attacks at the bell.

Adamek 78-74

 

Adamek is a joke at heavyweight. That he made it as far as he has speaks volumes of the state of heavyweight boxing. Haye would so fuck him up. Adamek clearly can´t take a hard heavyweight or even cruiserweight shot.

 

Round 9- Adamek misses a straight right. Grant misses a hook. Nice right for Grant. Adamek with a body shot. Straight right for Adamek. Right hook from Grant backs up Adamek to the ropes. Bodyshot for Adamek. Grant lays the jab out again. Nice jabs for Grant. Big right by Adamek. Big left counter for Grant. Another right by Adamek snaps Grant’s head back. Right for Grant. Nice left for Grant. Big right for Grant. Adamek backing up. Big right for Grant. Adamek holds. Grant ends the round with nice combo.

Adamek combo at the end of the round.

Grant looks like he’s in a bar fight. Nice uppercut for Grant. Right hand for Grant. Adamek with a left. Grant stuns him with a jab. Grant very aggressive. Adamek runs and holds. Grant landing big here. Adamek is HURT. Grant jabs. Grant looks tired. Adamek pushes Grant. Left for Adamek. Big left for Grant. Huge shots for Grant on the ropes. Adamek pushes him around. Adamek runs in the last ten seconds. BIG GRANT round.

Adamek wins 116-112.

But judging from this fight he needs to get out of the heavies ASAP.

 

Tomas was out of it, I am unimpressed by this guy.

Had Grant trained harder and sacrificed, he would have taken that guy out.

I understand what you are saying and I don't have a problem with it, but the kid had a couple of good wins in his career.

Well... Grant was never much, but 10 yrs ago he woulda owned Adamek. I'll give him that much.

 

Just shows what a scrub Arreola. His punch is overrated, too.
