Lashley quit.He hasn't been taking MMA seriously and hasn't progressed at all

 

Not sure if they should have been stood up with Lashley in full mount....would have to see it again, but unusual to see that. Either way, Lashley was gonna be exposed sooner or later, and it might as well be sooner.

 

Yeah that was strange the ref did that but yeah your right Lashley's not serious,he just wants a paycheck

 

Gurgel is an idiot,standing with a boxer as good as Noons

 

Dunno what's worse, the commentating or the reffing.

Noons looked good as much as Gurgel played right into his hands

Btw, with the stoppage...it was clear that the ref had decided to stop the fight, before the knee was thrown...he made his mind up, but was too slow to move in. It was an illegal blow though had the fight not ended...i don't know how Shamrock can say otherwise, it's pretty black and white.

Decent action so far, and i've got high hopes for this next one. Got a sneaky feeling for Kennedy.

 

Somebody should tell these two that this is a world title match.This is what Chael Sonnen was talking about,there's too many cowards in MMA fighting for a paycheck and fighting not to lose... smdh

Kennedy should spend less time bitching about the decision and more time being less mediocre.

Paid off today. Cormier lost, Lashley and Mo won. Unfortunately Cormier´s opponent was a complete can, but Cormier will be upset at big odds in the near future.

 

that shit's getting out of hand... Mo beats Mousasi then loses to this dude... We can't only have bums in mma who can lose to every other bum at any time....

Mo's one deminsional.It was going to catch up to him sooner or later...but unlike Lashley I expect King Mo to get better.

 

His striking isn't that bad. He definitely got caught though....

 

Kennedy should be kicking himself....i think his game plan was for Souza to wear himself out, but at the pace that fight was fought at, that was never gonna happen. I think he should have looked to try and press Souza against the cage.

Mo losing was a shocker to me, i hadn't seen Feijao fight before...i wasn't aware of how good his takedown defence was. On the feet, Mo hasn't fought anyone who brings those knees in so well....Mo kept falling into the same trap. He left himself wide open as he repeatedly threw those rights to the body.

Still, he hasn't had many fights, and this is will probably serve him well in the long run. Strikeforce have a few options now at 205

 

His standup is getting better I admit but I expect him to get better and this loss will help him more than hurt him...As for Lashley ,he's a frontrunner for real ,just came for a paycheck.

 

It will make him better, and unlike Rashad, his chin is fairly decent. He just needs to learn to avoid big shots like that...well, any fighter for that matter needs to avoid shots like that.

The biggest flaw in his game IMO is his BJJ game. He's useless on top.

 

Nah he just sucks. All he can do is score a takedown and lay on top of his opponent and control them for 15 minutes that way. He does not even possess rudimentary skills in all other aspects like strikes, kicks, GnP, subs and his conditioning sucks. The guy was totally out of it though. Can´t say he didn´t try his hardest with his limited skillset. I guess you can question his effort to improve his skills.

This is the same guy asking for a fucking Fedor fight!! What an idiot. I've been saying Lashley sucks for ever basically since the Guida fight I knew he was garbage. If you can't beat Jason Guida impressively you're not going anywhere. Lashley is a can plain and simple.

Mo basically gave his fight away, he could have easily taken it to a decision and won. I loved the body shots he landed in the second round, I thought it was a good stategy, but I guess Mo loved them too because he just kept wading in with his head down throwing body punches. He did nothing to mix it up, just walked right in and the knees were a perfect counter. I actually think Mo has a good chin, the knee that landed flush would have knocked a bunch of other guys out cold. That was a nice knee.

Gurgel just as I thought was nothing more than a punching bag for Noons. Gurgel really needs to work on getting guys down and using his BJJ, which he is actually good at, unlike striking.

 

Tim Kennedy and Jacare was a fucking boring ass snooze fest. I don't understand why Strikeforce didn't have a tourney before crowing a new champ. I don't think either one of those guys deserves to be the champ.

 

But if Fedor fought him, Lashley suddenly wouldve become good...

 

If Lashley took MMA as seriously as Lesnar he would be tough to beat but as it stands ,'he's just using MMA to get a paycheck.He doesn't give a shit about MMA

Mo's improving ,especially in his standup but he's still inexperienced.This loss will make him better.

 

He still wouldn't be near as good as Lesnar. Lesnar just took a serious beating and he was ready to go in the second round. Lashley takes a beating for 20 seconds of the second round and basically quits. Some guys have the heart to fight through tough situations, some don't. Lesnar has it, Lashley does not.

 

All that being said, Calvacante impressed more than Mo disappointed.

The Black House prospect just had more skills at the moment. Mo's still coming along though so he'll be harder to fight each time, but Calvacante is still getting better too. His Thai clinch was pretty dominating on Saturday.
