Too many people bash this dude. He was a 175 punder couple years back and now he's fighting 6'8 265 pound giants and yet still everybody whines and bitches. Lets see Chad dawson fight these guys. Nobody promised you a heavyweight savior in Adamek. (You must be confusing him with Haye) He's not that special at heavyweight but the kid's got balls. Guy like floyd who is so much more talented than Adamek won't even fight guys his own damn size. Win/Lose/Draw I say good for you Adamek chase your dream balls to the wall the only way you know!

People bitch about how "adamek has not scored a knockdown in his last two fights"......

That's weak, especially when you consider that David Haye is in talks to fight Audley, with that fight tentatively scheduled for..... NOVEMBER

He is a heavyweight now and thus he must be rated as such. For a heavyweight he is not very good one. That being said, of course he is allowed to chase his dreams and quite possibly he will make more money as a heavyweight than he would have at lower weights.

If you want a heavyweight savior, Robert Helenius is your man. Earlier he effortlessly destroyed Lamon Brewster and this weekend knocked around an unbeaten Frenchman

I've always been an Adamek fan and openly root for him to make some noise at heavyweight.

    That said...

He and his team tried to justify the choice of Grant as an opponent by claiming that they were looking at either Klitschko in either 1-2 fights, thus needed to get in work against tall fighters.

So naturally, the talk coming out of a fight in which he couldn't take out a chinny has-been and got rocked himself late in the fight is that he's nowhere near ready for the Klitschkos.

There's no questioning his bravery (a big part of why I'm a fan), but he's now a full-fledged heavyweight and will be viewed in that regard, fair or not

So I guess he failed the Klitschko test then huh? If you aren't beating Michael grant Handily, you better not sign to fight a Klitschko.

Adamek will get KO'd for sure.

It´s about getting paid. Adamek is just trying to figure out how many one million dollar paydays he can squeeze out of the polish community in Chicago, before he takes the three million dollar cashout bout against a Klitschko. That is the comfortable situation of fighters that have fans.

Some dedicated fans in Chicago if they're flying all the way to Newark to watch him fight.

I like Adamek's style, he is very watchable - always worth streaming or making the effort to see. Most of all though, he fights regularly - i don't care if he fights a few average big guys as he prepares for a klitschko, as long I know i will get to see him do it in 2-3 months time. Its the infrequency of fighters getting in the ring which makes it nigh impossible for them to build up a following.

    They took the bus. :flip:

You know very well that Adamek has fought in Illinois a couple of times and that they have a huge polish community.

Where has the guy gotten criticism? I like him. I've got no problem with Main Events making him a regional attraction. Let them milk everything out of him they can before sacrificing him to one of the Klitschko's.

I fear with his fighting at heavyweight coupled with the lack of defense, the guy will be brain dead in a few fights.

Adamek is one of those guys that makes you wish Cruiserweights could make decent money, so he wouldn't have to prostitute himself in the Heavyweight division.

He can obviously compete with most of the Heavyweight contenders, but he could be a star, and part of a great fight scene if the networks and the media ever decided to promote the Cruiserweight division.

    Oh well, I can dream, can't I?

Yeah, even before hearing the reports of teh Grant fight, I can't say I though he had much of a chance against either Klitschko, though I think a fight with Vitali might be better for Adamek.

Word is Goofi has been mentioend as a possible next opponent, he's no force at heavyweight, but Adamek does stay busy and has been mentioned, Main Events has a good thing going with him in New Jersey. Read the Grant fight did almost 11,000 in attendance.

Ya that's what I hear too that Goofi is next. Which should be another good UD win for Adamek. I even think he has an easier time with Goofi than Grant since Goofi really sucks.

Haven't seen the Goof in a while, but yeah, he's extremely slow...can't imagine he's gained any quickness in the years since I last saw him in the ring.

He's probably even slower now that he's aged

Another thing you gotta love about him is he thought 3 times in 6 months this year. Very refreshing to see.

You're only sucking his dick because he's Polish, Kaliber. Otherwise you wouldn't give two sh*ts! :Giggle:
