Well done to Toney though, he just fucked the UFC and Dana. Getting a lazy mil to come lay on his back and tap out haha.
I really couldn't picture any other outcome. Toney's just too slow and fat to prevent being taken down by an experienced wrestler.
when are people going to realize MMA is wrestling with some punches and kicks. If you can't wrestle don't fight in MMA jeez :boring:
it was dissapinting at how safe Couture played it, basically getting down on his knees as soon as the bell rang. Sure, it was smart, but it made him look kind of like a bitch, taht wasn't even a shoot, he just jumped, or basically crawled, at Toney ankles
Thats kinda how easy it is to take Toney down, which is why I thought it was laughable that Couture couldnt get the fight down.
Is it me or is Penn is kind of getting exposed as being unable to cope with movement, Edgar boxing ain't all that, but his moving seems to leave Penn completelly clueless
Pretty much Azazel. Weird thing is I thought Penn won the first fight CLEARLY, and won the standup, but here Edgar is winning legit.
<CITE style="FONT-STYLE: normal">That was some great advice from Penn's corner.</CITE> <CITE style="FONT-STYLE: normal"></CITE> <CITE style="FONT-STYLE: normal"></CITE> <CITE style="FONT-STYLE: normal"></CITE> <CITE style="FONT-STYLE: normal">"I know his speed is bothering you ... but fuck that speed!"</CITE>
Haha " Don't let him talk shit afterwards!" Penn isn't going to have much to say if the fight keeps going the way it is.
BJ has always had very overrated striking. I remember I was getting into huge debates whether Aldo would outstrike him or not. Which we all know, he would.
Yeah overrated striking. You show your ignorance every time you post. Penn is OLD GUARD. No doubt that he is slowing down and at the tail end of his career. So he gets beat by a fresher fighter fighter who has a ton of momentum behind them. Typical armchair quarterback shit.
the first and last fight were the only good ones oh and the lauzon fight was good. lots of boring ass shit on this card
white better throw maynard vs edgar ii as the co-main on a lesnar ppv. or at least w/ a stacked undercard. what a boring fight that's gonna be.
You'd think that after 9 months of ''training'' Toney would be able to stuff, at least for a while, a takedown as telegraphed as this
no way. shutting down a low single from an elite wrestler is nearly impossible. (i say this as a former wrestler) especially with ufc rules. boot him in the head or enjoy your stay on the ground.
Lauzon fight with Ruediger was really good. Diaz-Davis was good. Edgar-Penn 2 was decent. Couture-Toney was meh.
edgar has a small frame, i think he could fight at 145. There were people that were commenting on how he shoul drpo at 145 when he got out muscled by maynard.
