With news of Juan Manuel Marquez-Michael Katsidis being agreed upon, this fight is no longer in the discussion for Guerrero, but there are some other names in play....including Miguel Vazquez and Vicente Escobedo and someone that as of now will go unnamed. Guerrero-Escobedo was a fight that had some interest in it a few years ago, especially in Northern California. http://www.maxboxing.com/news/main-lead/so-is-a-tulip-worth-more-than-a-berto Rick Reeno reported that Zab Judah-Lucas Matthysse has been discussed as a possible main event for this card...with James Kirkland also on the undercard. http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&opt=printable&id=30578
I'm looking forward to seeing Kirkland fight again. They sure aren't wasting any time if they are taking on Guerrero. Could backfire.
I cant tell if you were being sarcastic, or if you were refering to FERNANDO Guerrero. I wouldnt mind seeing Fernando Guerreo vs Kilrkland from an action stand point. Nor would I mind seeing Robert Guerreo vs Kirkland from a sadastic stand point.
Is Nate Campbell the name Steve Kim was referring? http://espn.go.com/sports/boxing/blog/_/name/rafael_dan/id/5547844/a-boxing-man-answers-call-duty
Wow Judah is taking on a tough guy for the first time in a while. This is the guy who beat Harris not that that is saying much, but Lucas was starting to get a little hype. I actually think Judah is the one being sacrificed here. If Lucas loses this one it could be detrimental.
