Okay these are two different sports so it's not fair to throw a boxer into an octagon and it is not fair to throw a mma fighter into a boxing ring. So lets pit them against each other on a neutral ground. A bar. Here is the scenario. Prime Mike Tyson just had a beer at the bar. Prime Fedor just had a shot of vodka. They cross paths and bump into each other. They take it outside. Who walks away ? P.S Doesn't have to be this match up can be any match up. Who wins in a street fight?
Fedor would win. If tyson was scared of green in the street fight imagine Fedor. BTW, ask Tyson and he will tell you fedor too.
Should we expect anything else from you? The more that I think about it, this is a lame thread. Why don't you just have it in a ring? If not, it comes down to who cold cocks who first. And I am pretty sure that would be Mike.
Is this Mike before Cus dies? Has Buster Douglas pounded Mike yet? Are parachute pants in style? If so I think Fedor had some parachute pants he bought on the black market in Poland before the Soviet Union fell. Mitch Green had nothing on Soda Popinski.
Good pick. Mike would get to him first. Fedor has the punching technique of my mother. Way too loopy, Mike gets there way before Fedor can take him down.
If he is wearing his parachute pants in a former Soviet discotec, yes, the floor would help him slide into a nice double leg.
Well it would be his only chance. So I guess? What do you think he would try to throw hands with Mike? ::
That's not the reason, because in a ring Fedor murders him. The reason Mike gets to him first is based purely on his level of thuggery.
Didn't Tyson hit Mitch Green and then run? If that's Mike Tyson's M.O. in a street fight, I like the Russian.
That's the truth. In most streetfights, the thug who gets off on his unsuspecting foe first usually wins.
Wasnt fedor a thug when he was younger too? That and Fedor is tougher than Mike. Most Russians are fucking tough.
I'll say this - I do think a boxers skills are more applicable to the real world than any grappler. And I don't even mean in terms of what would happen if a boxer fought an MMAsist, but just how useful the skillset would be in most self defence situations. The LAST place you wanna be in a real world situation is rolling around on the pavement with the probability that a third parties gonna stomp you in the skull or kick a stiletto through your kidney. Or that your opponent is gonna pull something out his pocket.....or rip your ear off, gouge your eye out....etc. A whole world of bad possibilities. But also re: the opening question, a street fight is by its nature more chaotic, No bell rings, you dunno when or if the fights began, you're probably already in striking range, tempers and adreniline's high etc. Look what happened when Don Fry fought that boxing coach in the hotel lobby....both guys lose their rag and swing at each other the boxing coach tattoos him with 3 shots in 2 seconds and puts him on his ass. End of the day, MMA is just as contrived and unrealistic a combat situation as boxing. Most real world self defence systems like the type Peter Constadine or Geoff Thomson teach start with hand striking and round out from there....in MMA the skill base is turned on its head because it's a radically different scenario to the street. Who wins in a bar brawl between Fedor and Tyson? Whichever decisively decides the fight is on first and makes the first move, if it's a fair fight.....but of course it probably wouldn't be and Fedor would get hospitalized by Tyson's hangers on while he rolled on the ground going for a choke if he hadn't already had his jaw broken by Mike.
