Look...as a general rule we all may have different breaking points but only after a certain stage. I don't think either man has reached "that stage" where each fight begins to have a more and more detrimental effect.

Sam took clean shots from Wlad, and vice versa. One each.

He then had a toughish series of fights with Toney and an easy enough bout with Maskaev.

Wlad for his part had the beating from Sanders and from Brewster.

Peter took a beating from Vitali and a mild slapping from Chambers.

You may think I am bigging Peters up so that Wlad looks better if/when he wins...I can promise you I am doing no such a thing. I believe that the weight loss and the introduction of Abel Sanchez has helped Peter immensely.

 

Guys regress at different ages for different reasons, obviously. For such a smart guy I sometimes i wonder if you're trolling just to get people to reply, with these transparently silly arguments you make.:scratcher:

 

Well it was even or close to even after 10 rounds of the first fight.

 

There's much more to a fighters effectiveness than the PHYSICAL miles on the clock. Life and boxing is just more complicated than that.

I dont like these homages to history the germans do personally. They're cool & would be cool in the build up, but at the moment itself it distracts from the occasion I think

Agreed. Vitali's entrance against Peter has been the only cool one, otherwise they are useless

 

As I said, they'd be really cool as promotional tools in the build up but they're badly out of place as entrances. The 'virtual' feeling of them takes away from the rawness of whats actually happening and it also belittles Wlad as champ to share his entrance with Ali. Ill conceived.
