    Who’s next for Wladimir?

    By Karl Freitag

The Team of Wladimir Klitschko wants to put the IBF/WBO/IBO heavyweight champion back in the ring in December. However, with David Haye fighting in November, Nikolay Valuev recovering from surgery and Alexander Povetkin’s handlers wanting to give him more time, who is available to challenge the champion?

The name of Tomasz Adamek stands out as the most marketable fight. Adamek may be available, but he may opt to take one more fight before challenging either Wlad or Vitali next year. Olympic gold medalist Odlanier Solis could make sense. Euro champ Alexander Dimitrenko might be interesting. Unbeaten Denis Boytsov has returned to the gym after hand surgery, although he might not be ready yet for a title shot.

The sleeper might be David Tua, whose name has been floated out there (and his spot at WBO #2 is intact despite a lackluster draw with Monte Barrett). Also Former Klitschko foe Tony Thompson has issued a press release clamoring for a rematch. Stay tuned.

He should fight Tua. I wanna see Tua knocked out. Nothing against the guy at all it's just that a part of me likes seeing guys who have never been stopped be stopped.

Tua doesn't deserve a shot. Solis is the best guy out there. Adamek will get stopped.

Tua was dropped recently by Monte Barrett. My guess is that chin finally cracked. Wlad should be able to stop him.

Tua used to be one of the most exciting heavyweights, but his weight and inactivity basically ended his prime.

Wlad is certainly capable of stopping Tua....even if it's just stoppng him on his feet. Wlad is capable of stopping any heavyweight in history not named Ali.

Maybe. But his weak chin and lack of stamina also make him capable of being stopped by many heavyweight in history.

If this were prime Tua they wouldn't dare match Wlad with him. They would have sent Tua on a detour that led straight to Vitali.

At any rate I never want to see Tua again, especially against Wlad. That would be the most boring fight ever.

One thing about Wlad and Vitali - like Lewis, neither one seems interested in ducking anyone.

Shouldn't be long before one of the Lewis hater's chimes in to remind us all how Lewis "ducked" Byrd.

Is Wlad your favorite fighter? You do seem to be in the defending him business.

I'll bet it's his pasty white skin and likeness to the Aryan brotherhood that moves you so.

I think that fight would very closely resemble Vitali vs Sam Peter.

Tua following him around getting repeatedly hammered with hard jabs and the occasional straight right.

Tua and/or his corner throw in the towel after about 8-9 rounds of futility.

In all honesty, I have to say that his existence gives me great pleasure. Not because he is such hot shit, but because he is like a great big white poultice, a great big pasty strip of litmus paper.....he fights, wins, and a whole load of bigotry get's exposed in a whole load of people.

Maxboxing, Max Kellerman....{must be a max thing}......other journalists etc have all been exposed by this guy's persistence over the last 10 years.

And it's not just Wlad either.

I mean, when you have Max Kellerman saying things like Wlad's name would never be mentioned in the same sentence as Roy Jones, or that Roy Jones was making Joe Calzaghe look like a washed-up Tito Trinidad....you just have to love when these people get embarrassed.

I don't think Wlad is so brilliant. But it is telling that such a limited fighter has caused so much consternation in the ranks of these organizations.

If you follow the lineage from his 2009 fight with Ibragimov, he's been the only HW champion since Lewis.

    No, I detest white guys who think that Roy Jones made Joe Calzaghe look like, and I quote, a "washed up Tito Trinidad". {Roy Jones vs Calzaghe}

I hate guys who look at an emerging fighter and make statements such as "his name and Roy Jones will never be mentioned in the same breath again" {Klitschko vs Phil Jackson}.

    I hate guys who conduct interviews and try to detract from a retired fighter who had a common opponent with the interviewee. {Hatton, Alexander vs Urango}

It is one thing to irrationally like something. We all have our fetishes, our favourites, our soft-spots etc. There are lots of names for irrational like. There is only one name for irrational dislike. Is Kellerman's dislike so fucking irrational that he would rag on Hatton for the Urango fight a full year after Ricky basically disappeared off the scene? And besides...Hatton was the man at 140 for a while and won a title at 147. He owns Alexander at this point. Not that Hatton would ever say it. But Kellerman? Fuck nah...he makes his snide little comments and stares into the camera like the faggot he is.

Is he a Sephard or a Retard?

The point was particularly reinforced when Jones himself made disparaging remarks and then suffered a KO loss of his own. And another one. And then another one. Wlad questioned out loud what happened to "fighting from the downside" . That didn't go down well in Camp Flashy Southpaw.

In the meantime Wlad is on a 6 year unbeaten streak kind of like what.....Roy Jones used to be on. Stranger shit has happened. Reed himself even said that Wlads left-hooks can be "Royesque" {Wlad vs Ray Austin}. Not bad for a guy who wasn't going to get mentioned in the same breath.....:nono:

Basically Kellerman wasn't offering an honest perspective. He was offering a dishonest prospective. He was telling us what he hoped would happen.

Sometimes when Kellerman speaks, I have to wonder if he really follows the sport. Calzaghe got floored and won every second of the fight from the moment of the knockdown on. Every second of it. Yet after 2 minutes of evidence to the contrary, Kellerman sounds off shit about Roy being faster than Calzaghe though not nearly as fast as he {RJ} used to be. Then he throws in the gem about Calzaghe looking not like Tito...but a washed up Tito. :scratcher:

The man is a grade A vagina.

Like I say, Wlad is a poultice. Same with Vitali. They bring other peoples stupidity to the fore, like pus being sucked out of a wound, exposed in it's malignant custard yellow for all the world to see.

Close but no dice. I have already attested to the limitations of Wladimir Klitschko, preferring to draw satisfaction not just from his skills as a fighter but from the fact that his mere existence, a la Golota's, forced the innate stupidity of people like Kellerman and Wally Matthews and Harold Lederman to the fore.

come on, you are in threads trying to compare his losses to Sanders and Brewster to Emile Griffith losing to Rubin Carter, Hearns losing to Duran, Napoles to Monzon... its farcical

and then you have prime George Foreman getting bamboozled by Michael Moorer

    those are insane opinions

its this constant attempt to deny the unquestionable shittiness that the sport now wallows in from a talent standpoint

A lack of perspective, Mr CDogg.

I never tried to compare his loss to Sanders with Griffiths loss to Hurricane Carter.

Even if I had done so, it would have been a fair comment.

What I did was I said that if Wlad could keep winning that there was a chance the loss would be regarded in the same light as Griffiths loss to Carter- shocking, and damaging, but not entirely reflective of his career as a whole.

its not comparable... you are talking about Griffith, a guy who faced maybe the best opposition of any fighter ever, being KO'd shockingly in one fight that was totally not indicative of his career as a whole, as evidenced by the other 100 plus fights where no one came within a million miles of doing the same thing to him

how does that compare to Klitschko, iced by TWO bums, fighting some of the worst challengers of any big name fighter in history?

its an insult to Griffith to even say the two can be compared

Klitschko is proven to have a very shaky chin and questionable ability to deal with being pushed backwards

Griffith proved he had a terrific chin and could adapt to ANY style throughout his long and storied career

klitschko's KO losses are indictments of his limitations, Griffith's is a proven aberration

Sadly or maybe luckily for Wladimir the current heavyweight division is shit..and competition is mediocre at best...HAYE will be a good victory...but Wlad will never have the opposition to prove if he is an all time great heavy..

Pretty easy devil's advocate response but pretty much the same things were said about both Tyson and Holmes.
