I don't think Overeem has a shot in hell of stopping Lesnar from taking him down. Once it hits the ground, it stays there until it's over or Brock lets him up.

Other than that fight, I picked differently than you on a few but don't have any real issue. I would be shocked if Big Foot really went 3 rounds with Carwin however.

I think Big Foot's chin holds up and Carwin gasses

Overeem would be taken down sure but I think Brock's stand up is horrid Plus he's too cocky and I can see him standing with Overeem hence I think Overeem would catch him eventually.

I don't know about Silva's enormously over-size chin holding up. He was rocked and stopped by Eric Pele. It was a BS fight with restarts, a break for a low blow, and probably stopped a little quick, but Pele did drop and hurt Silva. Pele also isn't on the same planet in terms of power with Carwin yet he hurt Silva.

I haven't seen that fight to be honest. Maybe you're right but I just wouldn't bet anything on Carwin cuz with him it seems it's either one round or nothing..

I think it's a bit early to judge Carwin. He tried his hardest to finish Brock, he's really just a rookie himself and I'm sure he thought he was going to get the finish (I thought he was) so he gave everything he had. Maybe his stamina isn't as bad as it seemed and maybe he will come back more patient and expend less energy. It's not as if he has a history of this happening.

Barnett ain't beating the human wrecking ball that is JDS

I don't know how people can pick Rogers to beat Cro-Cop. Even a diminished Mirko can beat the Rogers that curled up against Overeem.

Why? Because JDS is so proven? You can make that judgement as soon as he beats someone in the top 10 not named Werdum.

Overeem - Better striker than Carwin with a better ground game. Overeem will match his strength but with way more tool. Reem will finish what Carwin couldn't.

Fedor - Don't underestimate this guy after getting caught in a triangle early in the fight and underestimating the best HW grappler in the game today. Fedor will beat him standing, on the ground, and everywhere between. If Kongo could have him on queer street multiple times, Fedor would murder him.

Barnett - Too experienced and too good of a ground game. I see Barnett getting him down and smothering him to a decision.

Werdum - Im not fooled by the JDS knockout. Truth is, that KO aside, Werdum has always been a very tough fighter. Most likely this fight goes to the ground where Werdum has the edge.

Rogers - I think he would just bully this version of Cro Cop around the ring. Prime Cro Cop murders him. However, current Cro Cop has lost his timing, is heavier, slower, and has just seen to lose interest. Rogers via ghetto beatdown.

Carwin - Even though he has NO gas tank, either does Silva. I do think though that Silva is too slow and easy to hit. Carwin via signature 1st round KO.

Mir - Even though he caves whenever he is hit, gotta take Mir. Arlovski couldnt even outbox the neandrethal in his last fight.

So you honestly think Overeem would stop Lesnar from taking him down within 30 seconds. I don't. People look at Lesnar's fight with Carwin and forget Carwin was equal size with a solid wrestling background. Overeem doesn't have near the takedown defense to keep this standing against Lesnar.

Regarding JDS-Barnett. Using your rationale, if Pedro Rizzo knocks Barnett out, JDS puts him in a coma. Silly rationale. Honestly I don't think Barnett takes JDS down and this stays standing which is bad news for Josh.

I also disagree with you on Cro Cop-Rogers but not enough to argue.:giggle:

Overeem will be much harder to keep down than Mir, as Mir goes into a shell when in trouble. Also, when going for double legs on Overeem, hell have to deal with some brutal knees.

You do realize that Barnett KTFO Rizzo, right??

That was a really long time ago, and Barnett avenged it recently. Moot point really.

Well my point was that Newbraski rationale was shitty. Just because Kongo hurt Velasquez doesn't mean Fedor would kill him. And I applied the same thing to Barnett-JDS.

I actually have to side with him on this one. I don't think that Cain has anything for Fedor and I really could see Barnett using experience and wrestling to beat JDS.

    Overeem v/s Brock

Real interesting fight. Brock has the wrestling and strrnght to trouble the uberman, but I don't recall overeem ever getting overpowered and taken down easily by anybody (except arona, but he came in with a leg injury). Alistair has a tendancy to fade, but Brock not a ball of energy for all 5 rounds either. The thing is uberman a bit of a front runner, while Brock, as shown in the Carwin fight, can come back from adversity. STILL, Overeem will give him a bit too much adversity, and he will ko brock rather easily.

    Fedor v/s Cain

Cain a stud, but fedor is fedor, and he get a starstruck velasquez out early.

    Barnett v/s JDS

JDS will see theres a difference between Barnett rough and tumble game, and Roy nelson rough and tumble game. Barnett by dec in a good scuffle. Barnett wins in the clinch, and get in on the ground when he needs to. Still JDS is dangerous for all 3 rounds

    Werdum v/s Roy Nelson

Werdum a better grappler than roy, and he will win a boring lay and pray dec, even tough Roy my man

    Brett Rogers v/s CroCop

Real interesting fight. a prime crocop mop the floor with Rogers, but the recent reluctant Mirko might just give the momentum that Rogers needs to get in a grove.

    Big Foot v/s Carwin

Good fight, but I'll never pick carwin in any fight after the pathetich unraveling he had against Lesnar

    Arlovski v/s Mir

Arlovsky. Mir has always been vulnerable to fast puncher (brendond vera anyone) and arlovsky is as fast and athletic as anyone (well at least he used to)

Good stuff, I really like the way you broke them down. I agree with everything, but Brock and Overeem. Overeem has never faced a wrestler like Brock. Arona isn't even close. Brock will takedown Overeem over and over and over and over and over and over. Overeem won't have any clue how to defend Brock's double leg nor the experience. Brock by UD.
