    Probably Brock.

Weight is essentially the end all, be all in wrestling.

If I remember correctly Lesnar didn't exactly dominate the little old Couture with his wrestling...

He took him down and didn't get taken down. What else does one have to do to conceivably win a wrestling match?

There is more to wrestling than takedowns, little kid. It says a lot when you have trouble keeping a 45 year old down who you outweigh by 50 lbs.

If there is any wrestling that occurs in this bout, it will be Brock Lesnar that ends up on the better end. He is bigger. He has a better pedigree. He is more explosive. And he works with wrestlers in his camp that are second to none in my opinion. Having guys like Conrad, Madsen and Tuchscherer around will keep you pretty sharp in terms of freestyle wrestling.

Cain doesn't train with slouches as he is part of a strong, strong wrestling camp. But in terms of throwing down with big, HW wrestlers, Brock has the advantage.

So in short, my answer is Brock. But I doubt wrestling will play much of a role in this fight.

It's a fight with two wrestlers, so it should have quite of a role.

Maybe but isn't it more likely that their wrestling cancels each others and we end up with a stand up brawl?

Isn't that what happened with Carwin and Lesnar?

I may be completely wrong on this, but I am hoping I'm right and we get to see a fun slugfest.

I wouldn't really consider that a stand up brawl. I think the fight may have spent a minute or two standing. The rest was on the ground.

Lesnar Carwin wasn't a brawl at all. It was a one sided ass kicking.

OK.. I am going to have to withdraw from this discussion because I really didn't see ANY wrestling in that fight.

Lesnar's lone takedown in the second round was basically taking down a ragdoll because Carwin was DONE.

Oh well, everyone sees fights differently.

I saw it like you saw it. A 10 year old kid could have taken Carwin down at that stage of the fight

Yes, I agreed it was easier because he gassed. However, I thought that the transition and application of the choke was pretty impressive.

Check this out, I saw this pic on Sherdog and had to post it in here. Cain looks REALLY SMALL. Here he is with Ryan Bader, a fairly large LHW but he looks bigger than Cain. That is Steve_Dave in the middle.

That has to be photoshopped. Bader looks a weight class bigger than Cain.

For some reason I always thought Cain was taller. He is only listed at 6'1" while Bader is listed at 6'2".

I am taller than both and wish I could make Bader's weight plus or minus 5 pounds. :Wah:

How much are you right now? I could probably come up with a plan to get you to bader's weight

I'm 6'5" and bounce around between 220-230 depending on how busy I am.

I have no doubt that I could hit 205 but it would be difficult to maintain and no real sense as I'm not unhealthy at 225 or so.

Because Cain isn't a big HW.
