That X-rated shot, obviously, is a reference to the Baby Mama drama which briefly sent Mayweather to jail and led to domestic battery charges in Las Vegas.

"I was in the barbershop in (Washington) D.C., the other day and the guys were talking about it. They respect Floyd's skills like I do but they were saying they know he won't ever fight me," Williams said.

"If Floyd went to Al and said, "Hey, I want to fight Paul Williams, what can Al do? But Floyd is not going to ever say that. Pacquiao, he fights bigger guys, he's different than Mayweather so maybe I will get to fight him."

Like many others, Williams thinks Mayweather's obsession is being undefeated.

"Floyd ranks himself with Ray Robinson, with Joe Louis, all these guys..but all those great guys, they all lost sometime. Mayweather won't take a hard fight, he won't take the chance of losing." <hr> </td> </tr> </tbody></table>

If Paul Williams wants to fight Manny then he needs to lose to Martinez and get destroyed in the process.

 

And Mayweather can fight Matthew Hatton or Mzonke Fana futher proving his greatness.

 

If Paul Williams wants to fight Pacquiao he needs to change promoters. As for PBF, there's nothing Williams can do to get PBF in the ring.

PBF's basic needs are as follows (in order of priority):

1. Food/Water/Shelter
2. Undefeated record
3. Money

 

Nah, didn't work for Anthony Peterson in pursuit of Humberto Soto, didn't work for Vince Phillips when he begged for a fight with Oscar a decade before that, and won't work for P-Will today. Arum would just have him fight all of the guys he'd rather not match up against Pacquiao.

The examples you provided aren't exactly comparable. Who was interested in a ODH/Phillips fight? Or a Peterson/Soto fight?

Either way, it's at least a prerequisite for Paul - my point is more to say that since he's not promoted by Arum, he has no chance of landing a fight with Pacquiao. Which is not to say that he'd necessarily get the fight with Pacquiao if he were promoted by Arum.

But it's not as if Arum hasn't put Pacquiao in match-ups that many predicted he would lose (Cotto, ODH, even Hatton).

 

Williams can easy get a fight with Manny. Just agree to a catchweight of 142 and he has to sit on his stool center ring for 3 minutes then stand in his corner between rounds.

Manny fights him tomorrow under those guidelines.

he's got to beat Martinez and the middleweight belt must be on the line.

The theory that Pacquiao only fights guys coming off loses is ridiculous. The fact is, Pacquiao only fights the type welterweights who in essence only seem to be fighting each other which in turn leads to losses.

Cotto fought Margarito, Clottey, Pacquiao and Mosley.

Margarito fought Cotto, Clottey, Williams, Mosley and is scheduled to fight Pacquiao.

Pacquiao fought Cotto, Clottey, and is scheduled to fight Margarito.

Williams fought Clottey and Margarito.

Mosley fought Cotto, Margarito and Floyd.

Floyd fought Mosley.

All the best welters have fought each other, yet Floyd only fought 1 of them recently and the point you want to make is Pacquiao only fights guys coming off loses? Who gives a shit? I'd be happy if Floyd fought one of the top guys whether they're coming off a loss or not.

By the time Floyd's trial is over he'll probably be so rusty he'll want to take a safety first fight against Rafeal Marquez before taking on a true 140lb fighter.

 

You don't seem to realise the difference between fighting somebody coming off a loss, or a bad streak and fighting somebody on a winning streak. Te last guy Pac fought on a win streak was Marquez and he didn't look superhuman in that fight like he has recently.

I've actually seen video where Roach said that Pacquiao would love to fight Williams. He said fuck the size he loves a challenge.

I have never heard Floyd mentioned Williams' name.
