I read on boxingscene that Ortiz and Kotelnik were asking for too much money so that it's more likely Ortiz would fight someone else. I hope that it goes through, Ortiz has had enough soft touches. Schaefer tried to justify it by saying Kotelnik lost to Devon and Khan already and won "controversially" against Maidana.

Just a misunderstanding, the "controversially" was supposed to come out after Devon, but slipped all the way to Maidana.

Well now that Bradley-Alexander seems to be official and they're stripping the IBF title from Devon, is it Ortiz-Mabuza for the title? Is that what GBP is attempting to do?

Cite? I haven't heard this, yet. The f'ing IBF is a stripping machine which pisses me off to no end, but for some reason they don't get slammed for it.

Edit: I see in the Bradley/Alexander thread about the stripping for not fighting Kaiser Mabuza in time. Usually there is a way to ask the sanctioning body for an exception to fight another champ. Even the IBF. I think it was Vernon Forrest who got stripped for not asking them for an exception. So even though I think the IBF sucks, it's not always their fault.

Unbelieveable but Khan is claiming he's going to come into the fight as the big puncher. Apparently sparring with Pacquaio and not getting wobbled has convinced Khan he isn't chinny.

Of course it's more than likely that Khan is just blowing smoke up everyone's ass to sell tickets and he'll be running for dear life against Madiana.

I think so as well. Hope it happens, it will be Ortiz's toughest fight since Maidana.

Alexander-Bradley is one of the best fights to be made in boxing right now. November through January is looking good.

Yup there is alot of potential for great fights. Almost makes me forget the huge cocktease that was Mayweather-Pacquiao.

Another South African for an IBF title. The ridiculous 130 pound South African round robin with the IBF belt is also back on. The IBF must have been heartbroken, when Zaveck pushed Hlatshwayo over the Cape of Good Bye.
