This ain't boxing homey get over it.Its hard to fight a text book boxing match when your worried about kicks, clinches and takedowns...Ask James Toney
JZ won that fight, I could maybe see giving Thompson the 1st ( I would still disagree though ) but 30-27 is a joke. Diaz-Noons was pretty solid the 1st half and boring the 2nd half. Close fight, could have gone either way.
I thought JZ got robbed. And man, my scoring must suck because I had Diaz winning every round except the 2nd. And it was a very good fight. Diaz is one of the top 5 170 pounders in the world.
I had it 3-2 Diaz but 4-1 isn't out of the question either because the last rd could of gone to either guy but what Diaz did last night was impressive,he beat a more experience standup fighter at his own game last night and yes he is top five, probly 3 behind GSP and Fitch And ;yes JZ did get robbed
Diaz isn't top 5 in shit. He just fights ton of guys nowhere near any ranking list. KJ fucking Noons. Give me a break. This guy isn't a Welterweight, and he wasnt even top 10 in HIS OWN class. Diaz sucks.
I actually give props to Diaz, he's well rounded. Got a nice ground game and his striking, while not pretty, is effective. But he's slow as hell and Noons didn't take advantage of that.
Diaz is awful on top. All he does is smother and then eventually get stood up. Everything hes ever done ever on the ground is off his back.
I think there's a lot of hate going around on Diaz because he just stood for 5 rounds with one of the better boxers in MMA and BEAT him at his own game. Regardless, there aren't more than 2 or 3 guys that I'd clearly pick to beat him at 170. As mentioned, GSP and Fitch would handle him just because of their solid wrestling. I think Shields is better also, but doubt they would ever fight. There are also borderline guys that would give Diaz a good fight like Koscheck, Penn, and Kampmann. I'd be shocked if Daley upset Diaz.
I just read that Diaz broke Noons' jaw in the first round. Gotta give Noons credit for the way he fought the rest of the way. He didn't let it stop him from pushing forward and trying.
Man, if you're goal is to look as stupid as possible, I'm pretty sure that was accomplished a long time ago. Given how good Diaz is in his guard, even guys like GSP and Fitch wouldn't "easily' beat Diaz. And if you really think Koscheck and Kampmann beat Diaz "easily" then you should probably become a fan of something else like table tennis.
