Oh yeah, just like those unanimous decision losses to Sherk and and Diego and Riggs? Oh, yeah you can shut the fuck up now. :atu:
See, this is the problem with someone that hasn't watched the sport for very long and simple checks the record of fighters. First those fights were 4 years ago. Second, none of them were "easy" wins.
I've been watching the sport for years, peasant. And yes, Diaz was competitive, against Sherk in particular he lost 30-27 from just getting taken down every 15 seconds. And Diego for that matter. And you think he'll beat Koscheck! :atu: Both of those guys are nowhere near the level of Kos at WW. Diaz would get embarrassed. I don't give a fuck if they were 4 years ago, fact is he hasn't done shit except fight cans and avoid wrestlers.
See, again, only reading the scores. Anyone who watched the Sherk fight will tell you it was competitive. The same thing is true with Sanchez as well. Just a tip because I know you're a kid, but sometimes just reading the scores of a fight doesn't really give you whole story. Ummm, case in point, one judge on Saturday night actually gave Thompson all 3 rounds against JZ. Was that not a competitive fight? You have much to learn little grasshopper. And 4 years make a huge difference. Not to mention he is also fighting at 170 now.
Nick Diaz always had trouble making 155, he's much improved 4 years later and at 170. Same as Nate Diaz, he grew out of 155 and is looking much better at 170 in the UFC.
I agree. Both are lanky and Nick is 6'1" while Nate is 6'. 170 is a much better weight for both. Personally I think Nate looks 100% improved at the higher weight. Before it's all said and done, he will make some noise in the UFC's 170 pound division. His destruction of Marcus Davis was very telling. And keep in mind, this is a guy that fought on very even terms with Gray Maynard over 3 rounds. (TLC will only read the results of the Diaz-Maynard fight and talk about how one sided it was)
Both guys beat Diaz cleanly. Period. The only thing 4 years has made a difference in, is the ability to pad a record with tomato cans and has-beens.
Nate is better than his brother but Marcus Davis is shot, and Gray only went "even" with Gray because of bullshit UFC propaganda made him feel like he had to get an exciting KO to get a title shot(which was exactly true) instead of a guy he already beat. Otherwise Diaz would've been Gray and Prayed for 15 minutes.
So Gray adopted this style for Diaz yet threw it out the window one fight later against Florian? :giggle::giggle: So much for that rationale.
TLC has been hoping for Diaz to lose forever. He swore to all of us that Zaromskis would decapitate him. Its very hard for someone who doesn't understand MMA fully to appreciate Nick Diaz. He does nothing flashy. TLC brings up fights he lost 4 years ago, but he fails to realize how young Nick was then. His loss to Sherk and Riggs was when he was 22 or 23. So much changes in a fighter who starts so young. Nick Diaz is a completely different fighter than that kid who lost to Sean Sherk.
Yeah but now Zaromskis is a "tomato can"... And you are dead on about Diaz. He does nothing flashy but is just a well rounded guy with tons of stamina and tenacity. There is no one at 170 pounds that walks through this guy. He wouldn't beat everyone, but he would definitely give them a tough fight. I don't know why people always feel the need to hate on that Cesar Gracie group. Seriousy, Melendez, Shields, and both Diaz brothers are as dedicated as anyone in the sport. All I read are articles about these guys practically living in the gym. Personally I am a fan of them all.
