Ok this fight is coming up on 11/06 so it's time to pick the winner. I'm sure many here are favoring Lopez. After careful consideration I have made my decision. I think Marquez is going to knock him out late in the fight. I think Marquez is all wrong for Juanma and will outclass him. I think Marquez counter punching combined with Lopez occasional sloppiness spells KTFO. I hope I'm wrong but if Lopez dosent catch Marquez early then it's goodnight!

    Marquez TKO 10 Juanma .

Lopez by KO. I think it's case of the younger fresher guy being to much too handle.

REED Sees this Matchup Much like YOU Do...REED's Only Reservation is HOW Does Marquez Handle the Higher Weight & the PUNCH of a Heavier Man....Marquez's PRECISION Punching & 2-Fisted Power is Definitely DANGEROUS for the Suspect Chin & Lack of Focus of JuanMa...

Lopez KO 5. And Hex is picking Marquez, only because he knows his predictions are never right, he just wants to jinx the Mexican. Smart thinking Hex!

I gotta favor JuanMa, likely by stoppage.

I can't believe this fight is almost here...just seems like there was a lot more interest in it back when it was first scheduled.

My money's where my heart lies --- with Marquez.

Lopez is a dicey proposition doubtless, but he has weaknesses which play straight into his veteran foes hands, & Marquez has been there & won on bigger stages.

    Tough to call.

Pfft. Nobody even knows who the f*ck these guys are. Boxing is really lacking press lately. Doesn't even get covered anymore.

This is a great fight. Just because you don't know who they are doesn't mean they are not good.

Although the style match-up favors Rafa, I think the size of JML is too much for Rafa to over come as he wins by a 9th round TKO.

I'll be on the safe side and go with the younger fighter. JML by decision or late ko

I'll take Lopez, late stoppage 9th or 10th. I think Marquez will put up a good fight. However his best days are behind him..

Juan Manuel Lopez; and he'll get more credit for the win than he deserves. Here's hoping Marquez gets a nice piece of the pie for his efforts.

I'm dying to know too. Who's the genius who came up with that? My guess is it's the coach of either a college or pro sports team.

    You think so?

I think Lopez will probably get the amount of credit he deserves for the win...I assume people realize Marquez is 35 now and has spent the last four years pretty much fighting one fighter. Vasquez is the only championship level fighter he's fought since leaving 118 in '06.

Let's hope your optimism is justified. I guess the main reason for my skepticism is that it seems to be viewed as a good fight, with lots of anticipation. And many are picking Marquez even.

Maybe Marquez will prove me wrong. It's possible JML wins, and Marquez gives a good enough account of himself, in which case, maybe JML deserves some credit.

My guess is JML will win fairly easily.

Lopez may very well make this harder than it has to be because he's too reckless and goes for the KO everytime.

But being that Marquez is past his best and chinny as hell, Lopez power and youth should get it done,.

    Lopez TKO 6

I agree that Lopez gets reckless but disagree that Marquez is chinny.

    Well maybe your right.

But the wear and tear he's got won't help him. He's not gonna box the bigger man either. He's gonna go to war and I don't think he'll take Lopez's shots too well.

    But we'll have to see.

I am not predicting, but just plain HOPING that Juanma can beat Marquez. So far looks like a difficult task. Anyway I'll lit a candle and elevate a prayer to Chinus Maximus...
