Since Brock will most likely fight Mir and they're having Shane/Nelson showdown in January. Do you think the winner of that fight will fight the winner ? If so who do you got ?

JDS vs Nelson (Already took place. Will not happen if that's the scenario)
JDS vs Carwin (That would be an explosive fight. They would make this fight 100% if that's how it plays out )

Cain vs Nelson (Maybe but Nelson is not much of a draw and Dana hates him)
Cain vs Carwin (Another huge fight)

So I think It's pretty much a sure thing that Dana hopes Carwin blasts Nelson out and not the other way around.

Or maybe if the fight between Cain and JDS is exciting and close they will do immediate rematch but I doubt it.

Well, this is a good question now that Carwin apparently has to have back surgery. Carwin would have been the obvious choice as the next challenger if he beat Nelson.

Personally I think you have four guys (with Carwin out) that are in the mix for winning a fight and then getting a title shot.

Kongo---- I like a Kongo-Lesnar match as an eliminator

Mir----- I would love to see Mir step in for Carwin and fight Nelson at UFC 125

Nelson---Hopefully Mir or Kongo fill in for Carwin. With a win Nelson is in the mix

Lesnar--- With a win over any of the above guys Lesnar gets a shot especially if JDS beats Cain.

Or maybe they let Lesnar and Carwin heal and rematch them.

JDS Cain is a great fight. I'd give JDS more chance of beating Cain than anyone else in the UFC, given that Cain's first instinct seems to be to trade hands.

JDS will beat Cain. All Cain has is stamina wrestling and good stand up. JDS has good takedown defense which will nullify the wrestling and JDS's striking and chin are a lot better than Cain's (especially chin)

I haven't seen enough of Cain to make comment on his chin. But his wrestling looks ALLOT better than JDS' to me, I can't see him being nullified in that department if that's the strategy he chooses.

This is just me flapping my gums though, I'll make no pretence of being an expert on either guy or the sport for that matter.

Wow... I know you have that whole man love thing happening with JDS but he hasn't faced a wrestler even remotely near the level of Cain. Stopping Roy Nelson from taking you down is OK, but it doesn't mean you can stuff a guy like Cain.

And it may just be me, but I don't think JDS is fluid in his striking at all. To me he seems somewhat stiff and robotic. I wouldn't necessarily give him the clear advantage striking.

I do like JDS's chin however. And unlike Lesnar, JDS will stand in the pocket during exchanges.

It's a great matchup, but I like Cain. I picked him reluctantly to beat Lesnar based on more experience and better all around MMA skill. I think the same holds true against JDS.
