The Vera fight is off. "King of post-ponements" Pavlik is once again injured.

I swear, at this point I just feel bad for Kelly. His career has terminal cancer.

Amazing that it was just 3 years ago he was supposed to be the next superstar in the sport. Now it appears as if his career is on its last legs.

I predict that within another year or so, he'll be used as fodder for David Lemuiex.

Hearing rumours he has allot of personal problems behind the scenes.

    Rios isn't that good.

Tough kid, slow, can take a punch...decent power...basically a 135 version of Pavlik.

I stopped caring about Pavlik the minute he lost to the prehistoric Hopkins.

You make it seem as if Vargas was a failure. Nando was a very good fighter, who simply got beaten by great fighers.

No one's calling Rios the second coming of Duran. He's just a young, exiting fighter with power and an aggressive style that makes him appealing.

That's not even a fair comparison as Vargas is much heavier than Klitschko.

You may as well say Butterbean > Ricardo Lopez

I guess Pavlik should do like Trinidad after Hopkins and retire for a while.....why set up fight to postpone/cancel weeks before they happen?

I rather watch Pavlik vs. Vera....than Rios fighting some last minute replacement bum...

Seems like Bute has also given up on Pavlik and HBO, and is in talks for a three fight deal with Showtime. Makes me wonder how long before Bute gets the Klitschko treatment. Another fighter, who is such a big draw, that he doesn´t need HBO. Is it just me or does regular HBO barely have any fighters that can draw a live crowd. :dunno:

Rios actually doesnt have NEAR the talent and skill set that a young Vargas had. But Rios is in luck, cause theres no prime Tito's around at 135-140.

I dont see why Rios cant rule 135 one day. Marquez WILL get old and fall apart eventually, hell it could be against Kat. And I could see Rios beating Katsidis, though it would be a hellacious war.

It's the guys with no booz in their house that drink a lot, not the ones with a lot of it lying around. :giggle:
