It is hard to see Alexander win 4 straight rounds against Floyd, much less still be around in the 11th to nail him in the balls, get into a fight with his Uncle, and see out the fight in due course. Those were the days. OK it was 147 but that's even better/worse. If Alexander is getting into scrapes with Kotelnik @140..well...figure it out. It is also hard to see any of Ricky, Tszyu, Judah, Mitchell, Bailey, Hurtado, Ward, etc, or anyone else who was loitering around 140, get absolutely waxed by Breidis Prescott inside of 60 seconds. 140 is strong today, but it was a lot better then, IMHO
Very true. I'd pay a high priced PPV to watch Khan vs a prime, or even semi-prime Tszyu. Kostya knocks Conman's head into the shaking hands of Roach within 3.
Judah has a great attitude, one of the reasons I've been a fan of him for so long. Plus he's got the best offensive aresenal in boxing right now bar none. He just needs to be able to consistently keep up it past 4 rounds... like he did in the Spinks rematch.
Negatory. In my opinion he's always been in winnable fights. Travesty that Mayweathers corner was allowed to jump in the ring and throw a choke on Zab just to ensure he didn't come back in the fight after putting Floyd down earlier in the fight.
REED's Been Waiting til the Last Minute to Make a Prediction & he Still CAN'T Decide...Picking Zab Judah is ALWAYS a Risk, Even when he's Facing Non-Descript Opposition... Matthhhhyyyyysse ISN'T "Special" in Any Regard, but he's SOLID Enough All Around that he Can Pose Some Problems...Zab's NEVER Been Known for his Ability to FOCUS & if his Level of Concentration Wanes the LEAST Little Bit, Mattthhhhhyyyyssse Can HURT Him... Wouldn't Surprise REED if Zab JUMPED Mattthhhhyyyse EARLY for a Stoppage Win, but it ALSO Wouldn't Surprise if Mattthhhhyyysse Stopped Zab Late....REED's OFFICIALLY "Donnybrooking" This 1... REED:kidcool:
The most absurd thing I've read in quite a while. Pacquiao's offense makes Judah's look average. Judah has fast hands and a nice straight left, and that's it. He's like the Pacquiao of 2001.
Actually to be fair to Zab, he can punch with both hands(decked Floyd with a right hook). And his best punch isnt even the straight left... its his left uppercut. But he can throw uppercuts with both hands. The thing is... he's still fast, but not nearly as fast as he once was. 10 years ago he had the fastest hands in the sport of anyone not named RJ. Actually, when Mosley and Roy began to age, Zab did have the fastest hands in the sport.
Rafael just tweeted Lampley will also be in the house calling tonights fights. Thank God, Bob Papa bores the shit out of me.
He throws the odd crazy uppercut, I agree, but to me they are not a particularly solid part of his offense a la prime Tyson. And apart from knocking Floyd down, his right hook looks nothing special at all. Judah's offense IS good, when he's on point like against Spinks in the rematch, but it's nothing special really. He's always had exceptionally fast hands and good explosive power, but his offense doesn't have the finesse and variety to be classified close to being the best in the sport.
judah has leveled plenty of guys with right hooks. basically there havent been any fights where judah wasnt able to land his best punches. maybe not against clottey but against everyone else he gets off his best shots at some point. usually early
I've seen a lot of Judah fights. I can't recall him knocking out anyone with a right hook, especially anyone legit. Uppercuts yes, but a right hook?
Zab dropped in round 10 with a right he would have easily avoided when he was on top. About even thus far, 2 to go.
