The fight is not set in stone as of yet as it was just offered to us yesterday (regardless of what fightnews has reported) as no numbers have been forwarded to Chris, but the bout is tentatively scheduled for March 12 in Montreal, and it will be for the WBC Silver Belt at light heavyweight.

We have been wanting this fight for the last two years, so Diaconu is doing Henry a favor as Adrian will be flattened for the ten count in front of his adopted home town people.

I padded Chris out earlier this week, and my hands are still sore from his big punches, and believe me when I tell you guys this; he will stop Diaconu this time around, and there will be no need for Adrian's hand picked judges and referee as they can't fight for him or save him.

Adrian has not agreed to the fight yet, and I'll be mildly surprised if he does, quite frankly.

Ronnie held him back too long the last time around and had him boxing too much, and the Romanian is going to see an entirely different Chris Henry this time around as he is not going to waste any time boxing this guy in front of corrupt officials.

Henry is going to turn this into a street fight and wipe the floor with this guy, and Diaconu is going to be hit with much heavier shots this time around, and no light heavy out there can stand and trade with Chris now.

Adrian hasn't won a fight since the first fight, and he's going 0 for 3 if he does indeed take the match.

Silver belt? lol What a joke. No offense to the fighters.

Are you saying you thought Henry won the first fight?

Not only do I thought he won, the Canadian announcers had him winning the fight as well, as did 8 out of 10 media members polled that were in attendance.

That's your opinion, but that was then and this is now.

Adrian is going to get knocked out this go around, and that is a fact.

No numbers yet, just because the WBC said it would sanction the fight is one thing; putting it together is an entirely different matter.

The fight is not close to being set, regardless of what my friend at fightnews says.

Diaconu just won an UD vs Sheika 2 weeks ago. But I agree with the rest of your post, and would favor Henry in a rematch

Diaconu won the first fight cleary. He's regressed since so I really don't care about this fight. Diaconu won when it mattered.

Agreed, he's looked terrible in recent fights. I think Heny wins the rematch.

Obviously. Nobody steps into the ring with Chris Henry without getting ruined. That is called losing the battle, but winning the war. :kick:

    Thanks, Otis!

Chris is going to steamroll this guy this time around, and he has me as chief technical advisor, so he cannot go wrong.

Diaconu is taking the 10 count.

I understand the whole "avenging a loss" perspective, but I would assume Henry would be looking for a bigger fight. The back-to-back Pacal horse whippings have diminished Dianconu's worth and the risk doesn't seem worth the reward.

Despite all the grandiose talk of making it a street fight, and knocking Diaconu out, the bottom line is that Adrian was able to outbox Henry in the first fight and there isn't a major reason to think that would change in a rematch. I realize Henry was able to start finding Diaconu late in the first fight, but that doesn't mean round 1 of the rematch would start like a round 13 of the first fight. In other words, Henry would still be faced with overcoming the challenges that a fresh Diaconu poses.

Personally, if I was Henry's technical advisor, I would suggest drilling a couple of middle of the road pugs and then begging for a shot at an alphabet title. A win over Diaconu just doesn't do enough to offset the damage that another loss would inflict, in my opinion.

He has to take the fight, bro, it was mandated by Jose Sulamain of the WBC at their convention.

A win by Chris makes him the mandatory for Hopkins - Pascal, and then he's in the big money.

He has had some management issues that have kept him on the sideline in the second half of 2010, but he has kept training.

Thanks for the feedback, as it is one of the few adult boxing responses in this thread.

Didn't realize that. In that case, I hope Henry drills him because I honestly wouldn't mind seeing a Henry-Pascal fight. Pascal would be an overwhelming favorite, but their styles would make for an entertaining brawl.
