I know most of you will not really care an awful lot about this one, but i'd like to know your opinions. British Boxing fans are expecting a quick and most probably a brutal KO win for Haye, but i'm thinking some of you may be thinking differently??? It's certainly not the biggest British Boxing fight in recent years, but possibly one of the biggest British Boxing grudges. Most fans are laughing at this one, because if the fight is anything to go by their press conferences together, then it should be a cracking fight. :giggle:
I'm almost at the stage where i hate Haye as much as Harisson. What a let down that guy is. But not quite. I'll still get allot of pleasure from seeing Harisson splayed on the canvass like so much scattered offal.
:: What i'd love to see is both of them landing and KO'ing each other out, kinda like what happened in this one, but with Haye and Harrison both unable to get up :: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-99QjqAHVJs
Though David Haye HASN'T Lived Up to OR Fulfilled his Heayweight Promises, REED STILL Likes his Style...Eventually, he'll End Up Fighting 1 or BOTH of the Klit Brothers, but in the Meantime he's MILKING his Title a Bit... REED:mj:
Haye is rightfully the favourite in this fight but I got this feeling Harrison will KO him this weekend... Harrison will go on to fight Martin Rogan and embarrass himself yet again :fightme:
Haye should take his beating from Wlad/Vitali, or just admit he's nothing more than a regional phenom. But this attempt by him to straddle both with meaningless fights against nobodies, but big words about what he'll do when he fights them? It's despicable. Only reason Lewis is picking Harrison is probably to draw interest for the fight, or the fact he's friends with Harrison.
I honestly thought Haye meant business when he got to heavyweight. I thought he was gonna create some excitement and big nights if nothing else. Big, big let down. I can't decide whether he was a bullshitter to begin with or something happened in the mean time that profoundly rocked his confidence. I suspect the second. Either way he's lost a fan in me.
Seriously Fraudly is a much bigger shit heap than Haye. If you'd lived in Britain the last 10 years you'd understand why everyone here wants to see him brutally retired even if it takes Haye to do it.
Got to give audrey some praise. His belief in himself and confidence to actually beat haye has generated more interest from the general public and the bookies are taking in more bets now on harrison to do the job. Still, this will not matter as audrey is going to receive a big dose of reality saturday night once he gets sparked out.
Harisson has all the courage in the world.....with a microphone in his face. With a laced up opponent in front of him on the other hand he has all the conviction of a cat having exploding bangers thrown at it.
A British friend of mine is in Toronto at the moment (we're going to watch the fight together) and he calls Harrison..."Awfully Harrison" ::. That just about sums it up. Haye will knock his head of in one-sided fashion.
I used to find haye slightly irritating, but harrison, he's on another level of annoyance. Repeating himself so much, one man can only take so much of him in front of the cameras.
Haye is figuring to roll in under the Southpaw jab and explode the right hand. Harrison is figuring to see if he is still standing by the 10th round, if he is he will snap into life and start pushing out his big straight left.
This is surely the way the fight will end. It'll end early if Haye catches him with a few of these bang on the chin. Harrison's reach advantage could cause haye some trouble, but imo I just can't see how Harrison is going to change his style to make it difficult for Haye. IF Audrey manages to keep on his feet from a barrage of Hayemakers, then the fight will become interesting, but i just can't see the fight going past 5 rounds.
A bit? Haye is milking his title a LOT. An awful lot, in fact. Winning that bauble is the single worst thing that could have happened to David Haye so far as actual boxing fans are concerned. I honestly think he fully intended to fight one of the Klits when he moved up to HW, but winning against Valuev has granted him fame and fortune beyond probably even his wildest dreams. He is BY FAR the most well known, recognisable active boxer in the UK and is as close to a celebrity as any boxer I can remember here. In so far as most people are concerned, David Haye is THE Heavyweight Champion of the world. Sure, a handful here and there might bring up the now taboo subject of 'Klitschko', but these are few and far between nowadays. Haye has been on chat shows, sports shows, radio shows; fucking everything, basically, and each and every time he is introduced as the HW champion. Haye has gotten everything he ever wanted. He is a millionairre several times over and has as much fame and celebrity as his ego desires. All of this without actually having to fight either of the real champions in the division. :shit: This is why Harrison is even getting his shot, utterly undeserved though it is- Haye will make MILLIONS from this fight and the odds of him losing are pretty fucking low. I was a big David Haye fan not so long ago, and I will argue bitterly that overall he is EXCELLENT for the sport of boxing in the UK because he has brought it out of the public lull which came when Hatton and Calzaghe retired, but what he is doing is fucking annoying from a boxing perspective and I honestly don't think we'll see him fight a Klit...ever Anyway, he'll smash Harrison into next week. Fraudley has a live shot, albeit a small one, because he can crack on the rare ocassions he actually engages in a fight and because Haye has a china chin. But I'd be very surprised if Fraudley is still around by the end of the sixth; Haye is far too fast and far too powerful for garbage like Harrison. This, mind, is a shit fight. I'm a boxing fan- how much money Haye can make is of no interest to me. I want to see him fighting credible bodies. Not Audley fucking Harrison. MTF
Careful. You are starting to sound like me. The difference being that I was sounding off on Haye from day one. He's an alright sort, with a dubious streak. He has tried to avoid the mainstream, especially mainstream promoters, but this has had the perverse effect of bringing his foibles to the fore, as he engages in publicity stunts and the like, some of which were pure filth. Haye has very much plugged into the gap left by the retirement of Calzaghe and Hatton, but has plugged into it too much. One thing that always got my goat was that he is abhorrent of the British lifestyle, yet encourages people to come out and laugh it up with him for his fights, engaging as he does in the most mawkish of behaviour, most of which fits him badly.
Audley Harrison. Simply not winning the World title. May have or had natural talent - lacking a true predator's instinct. Tis a shame.
Fuck You. It has been repeatedly claimed/stated on British sports TV that the fighters for the main event should be in the ring by 9:45pm GMT. Following the national anthem being sung for both fighters by the latest thrill-a-minute hip-hop star, and sundry naked chicks parading their wares, expect the fight to start around 10:15pm GMT.
