Your Boxing Bucket List What/where/who is your bucket list in regards to the sport of boxing? I accomplished a lot of mine while I was in Las Vegas but there are a few left: 1:would like to go to England,Japan or Germany and watch a major fight. All 3 would be nice. 2:go to Canastota and visit the Boxing HOF, hopefully when RJJ finally retires and is inducted 3:call a boxing match on radio or TV
The local TV which sends the program uses a Finnish veteran trainer as their analyst. Now his fighter is in the ring so he can't join the play-by-play guy from the beginning so the idea was that they would use another commentator, which would have been me. However, apparently the commentator only misses a couple of undercard fights and thus they didn't need a replacement
Among the few hardcore fans, and in journalism business. I have written about boxing for some years and for the last year and half or so I have been broadcasting a boxing Internet radio show. There are better experts than me for sure, but I am one of the few who can form a proper sentence in Finnish I guess
Cool man. For some reason, I thought you said you were a teacher. Hopefully you get another chance to call a major fight like AA/Froch.
I am a teacher and teaching is my actual profession. I write articles more as a hobby (I couldn't make a living with the money I get from them) and the radio thing is mostly for fun, we only have like 170 or so listeners weekly. Luckily in small circles such as these you can make a little name easily
