    Pacquiao UD!

I have a feeling that Margarito will take everything from Manny and will be a decent fight. Obviously Manny's speed will be the difference.

I know people always say that Manny has distractions during training camps but never like this. I don't think Roach and Ariza are just hypeing the fight. I really believe they are concerned with Manny's conditioning.

Late in the fight when Margarito comes on we'll see if Manny's conditioning plays a role.

I just don't see Manny losing but I dont' think he is 100% mentally in this fight regardless of what he says. Hopefully Im' wrong and he can KO this fucker.

    I agree.

This is the most feasible scenario I can envision in which Margarito pulls the upset.

And if he does, it'd be horrifying, one of the worst moments in boxing history.

I've seen worse. In the mid 90s, Mike Tyson was "uncaged" and looking to re-cleanup the splintered titles of the Heavyweight division like he had done in the 80s, injecting some excitement back into the division (after Bowe and Lewis refused to fight one another, Lewis was stopped by McCall etc)......then he fights Evander Holyfield who had recently been stopped by Riddick Bowe and gets "miraculously" stopped, himself.

    THAT...my friend...was a big blow to boxing.

This would be worse than that Sly, if that despicable, greasy, cheating scumbag somehow wins.

    I hear you.

Whats happening with mayweather these days anyway...is he retired or what? Whether Pacman wins or not would be irrelevant with Mayweather-Pac doesn't happen.

Get real. That was a great moment for boxing. Holyfield was absolutely beloved for fans for heart he continually showed even in losing to Bowe. After the Bowe KO, Holyfield was such an underdog against Tyson and fans pulled for him every second of every round as he slowly, methodically proved to be the better man.

Not even close to being a big blow to boxing. Fans loved Holyfield. He wasn't a villain in that fight. Margarito clearly is.

    Honestly, I have no idea.

Since I learned of this fight it's put me off boxing a bit, I haven't really been following it. I didn't even know until recently there was a second round of talks between Pacman and Floyd.

But it's weird there seems to be nothing about Floyd at all, no rumoured next opponent etc.

agREED. Good post. Holyfield wasn't remotely the villain in that fight. Hell...Tyson was criticized for waiting until Holyfield looked to be at the end of the line before making the fight happen. The fight was regarded by most as nothing more than a final payday for Holyfield. It was a GREAT night for boxing as Holyfield resurrected his career in a fight he was supposed to lose.

    Manny Pac TKO 7...

The HOUSE will Belong to Margarita & his Workrate will Work the Crowd Into a FRENZY EARLY, but he'll B Doing Minimal Damage as Pac Moves In & Out of Range, Looking for COUNTERING OPPORTUNITIES...By the End of the 2nd or 3rd, Pac will VISIBLY HURT Margarito for the 1st Time & the Fight will Become 1-Sided from There...

Simply Put, Margarita is Waaaaaaaaaaaay Toooooooooo SLOW & EASY TO HIT, to Win this Fight...His SIZE is the ONLY Reason he'll Make it to the 2nd Half of this Fight...A Volume Puncher w/ZERO DEFENSE is on a SUICIDE MISSION, Facing Manny Pacquiao...

Margarita will B Bruised, Possibly BLOODIED & the Onus will B on Roberto Garcia to RESCUE his Fighter from the Asswhipping or Watch him Left PRONE, Flat on his Back, ala Ricky Hatton...As BADLY as Sugar Shane Whipped Margarita's Ass, Tonight will B even WORSE...

So far just $10 on Margarito.

To me they're both cheaters. One is on steroids and the other was packing his handwraps. So take your pick.

    Yes.

It's funny that two of the guys that are supposedly offended by Margarito's lack of sportsmanship on this thread are two guys that welched on me big time after losing bets. :atu:

To me, there is just about nothing worse than giving your word of honor in making a wager and then not bothering to pay up when you lose. That is a complete sack of shit move.

How can you root for a guy that loaded his gloves?

You can't compare that to steroids, and Manny hasn't even been caught.

It's the most disgusting, scummy form of cheating, the sort of cheating that can kill or ruin the other guy's career.

Because I really don't care about either guy any more. I used to get nervous for Morales fights, JC Chavez fights, Hatton fights, and later in his career, Calzaghe fights.

I'm rooting for Margarito tonight but if he gets KTFO in 1 round I really won't care. In fact, I'd probably laugh.

My favourite fighters have pretty much all moved on and with that my emotional investment in the sport has too. :cheer:

Fair enough, but what I'm saying is how can you root for a guy like Plasterito over ANYONE?

The guy is a straight up scumbag. Loading your gloves is about the lowest thing you can do in boxing.

I'm thinking Freddie and company believe this is Jones vs Ruiz all over again. Perhaps. Margarito will throw punches unlike Ruiz.

Maragrito has to KO Manny...can't see him winning a decision. There will b e too many early rounds Manny wins simply on the head of Margarito constantly snapping back from clean punches.

My only question is, if Margarito keeps coming and Manny slows a bit what then. I doubt Manny runs out of gas.

I can't forget how marked up Manny was against Clottey and Clottey barely threw back at him...what happens if Manny's cut or swells? He's so used to things going his way, what happens if there's any adversity?

I'll go with the upset just to be an arse.

    Insane.

Would I root for him if he was English? Would you root for him if he was a black American?

I generally love Mexican fighters and the Mexican fans too, but fucking shame on them for supporting this scumbag. The guy should be cast out of boxing.

Margarito is way too slow, squares up too much, and loops his punches. Manny will systematically break him down with that straight left and flurries that will keep Marg confused.

If an African American Fighter was in the EXACT SAME Situation as Margarito, U'd Best Belive that REED Would WASH his Hands w/that Sorry Motherfucker ALTOGETHER...No Question about it....REED Loooooooooves Him Some Brothers, but if that Brother is a PIECE OF SHIT to Boot, REED Couldn't Care Less about him...FUCK 'Em, in Fact...

On 1 Hand, REED Can't Blame Mexican Fans, Because of the "Mexican Assassin" Label that Freddie Roach FOOLISHLY Attached to Pacquiao Years Ago, but in the Case of Margarito, he's Being Lauded JUST BECAUSE he's Mexican...

Just Wait til Tonight, Mex...Cowboys Stadium will Basically B a HOME CROWD for Margarito...U'll Even Hear BOO's when Manny is Introduced...Mexican Fans CARRY Boxing & Most Times, REED Applauds their Loyalty...But in THIS Case, they're Loyal to a FAULT...

Fuuuurthermore, Anybody that CAN'T Recognize the Difference btwn Roiding & LOADING YOUR HANDWRAPS, is an Idiot...There Are LEVELS of Cheating & Margarito is the MOUNT EVEREST of Cheaters...Lump Sugar Shane, Manny Pac, Fernando Vargas, Roy Jones & WHOMEVER Else U Want w/Him, but they're All MUCH LOWER on the Cheater Scale than Margarito is....
