    Hypothetical...

Let's just say Pacquiao fights two more and retires. Against Mayweather and the Martinez/Williams winner.

Say he wins both, and retires as the middleweight champion. Is he the greatest ever?

Certainly not to the old timers. He could beat both Klitschko brothers and still not get that mythical crown.

I'm not sure where i'd rank him right now but he would have to be right near the top P4P of all time.

Exactly. Old timers are pretty stubborn. You would have to film Pacman's fights in black and white to sell them on him.

Correct. Since the guys of the past fought 15 times a year, it is impossib le to surpass them. If he KOed both Klitshkos and then dropped back to strawweight to win that title, he might break top-30

i am not a pacquiao fan and in fact, i've rooted against him ever since he exploded onto the scene on the lewis-tyson undercard. in addition, he destroyed a handful of my favorite fighters in the last decade which made matters worse. having said that, he is the best fighter i've ever seen. his ability to move up in weight and improve in the process is simply unforseen in this sport.

Even though there is plenty of video available of Manny i'm going to Monte Cox him in 20 years.

He had the power of George Foreman in both hands and the defense of Pernell Whitaker. He was 4'11 and weight barely over 110 pound for the entirety of his career.

He beat Usain Bolt in the 100 meter dash and bench pressed 3000 pounds.

Havent the old timers told you? Henry Armstrong once beat Jesus on the same night he found the polio vacination.

    Can Manny top THAT?

Yes. I actually think he is the second greatest boxer ever right now. A win over mayweather alone would push him on top for me.

not sure what the circumstances were like back in those days. but facing facts, has pacquaio fought any top notch guy who hasn't gotten their asses severely beaten in his last few fights? that's not to discredit him, but i don't think he and armstrong are comparable. they're both elites of their time which is true, but i highly doubt that armstrong would've had a trainer nor a promoter who was as opportunistic as roach and arum.

While REED is Reluctant to Label ANYBODY as the "G.O.A.T.", it'd B Extremely Difficult to Argue AGAINST Manny Pac, if he Beat Floyd AND Paul Williams....The Funny Thing is, REED would FAVOR Pac to Beat Williams & w/Each Bout, REED Inches Closer & CLOSER to Picking Pac OVER Floyd...

Given that, it's Actually ALREADY Pretty Difficult Arguing that Manny Pac ISN'T the "G.O.A.T."...Manny Pac is CONSISTENTLY Jaw Dropping....

Well, luckily I have PVR and we were about 10 minutes behind for smoke breaks etc... so I was able to fast forward. But the little I saw was incredibly gay. After waiting so long for the main event it was like a slap in the face.

Klitschkos are also the worst heavyweights of all time. He would need to beat somebody black.

The only recipe for greatness, beat a black fighter black and blue on black and white video. Then you're made.

The 1st Song, w/the Spanish in the Chorus, was Received Fairly Well, but 1nce Nelly Started the 2nd Song, it Quickly Got WACK...The Problem is, they Did the Shit RIGHT BEFORE the Fighter Ringwalks...Nelly Should've Been a BETWEEN Fights Bit of Entertainment...Instead, just as the Crowd was HYPED for the Main Event, they were UNpleasantly Surprised w/2 Nelly Songs...

Hopefully, this DOESN'T Become the Norm for Boxing, No Matter WHO the Musical Artist May B....
