Which? Which victory of Pacquiao's stands out as his most impressive?

In a sense, Pacquiao out does himself everytime out, as evidenced by the willingness of many to continually pick against him.

On the other hand, it's not unlikely that Pacquiao has already had the most impressive performance of his career.

If you had to pick one to show an uninitiated fan just how impressive this guy is, which of his fights would you show?

Yeah, personally I think it was the beatdown of Cotto. But destroying Hatton inside of 2 was impressive.

Actually the Cotto, Hatton and Margarito destruction are all equally impressive for their own reasons, which make destroying each of them a GOAT type of run in my opinion.

The Cool Part about it is, Mrs. REED Watched Every Drop of "Mayweather-Hatton 24/7" AND the Fight Itself...She was Thoroughly Entertained & Came Away Liking Hatton...Other than Probably the Tyson-Holyfield Ear Bite, Mrs. REED has NEVER Been More Genuinely SHOCKED By Boxing than when She Watched Hatton Get Destroyed by a Sawed Off Asian...

Pacquiao-Hatton was indeed impressive. Pacquiao's destruction of Delahoya should also be mentioned. He really knows how to trash his opponents.

I have to say Pac-Hatton, that was fucking savage, it's easy to pick it apart in hindsight but at the time the De La Hoya fight was astonishing

Well, again like Hatton, the ease with which he destroyed Oscar was amazing. Manny walked right through Oscar like no one had been able to previously. Even his loss to Hopkins was more competitive until the body shot. Manny destroyed Oscar from the opening bell and never really let Oscar have even a single moment in my opinion.

The fact that the mugging of larger HOF fighter DLH doesn't even make the list speaks volumes about the depth of this resume. Unbelievable career.. The guy exploded out of nowhere and annhilated prime top 3 p4p fighter Barrera.. Yet somehow has managed to top that several times over now.

You would imagine that the energy and ferocity with which Reed raised the issue of steroids post Cotto would rule the Hatton fight out of his short-list. For me, the drugs and drink Ricky was ingesting by then were obviously playing a part in his decline. The beatdown of Cotto was pre-empted by the loaded gloves and the Oscar fight was a farce.

It has to be Barrera Part Un.

I'd really be interested in a non-promotional company owning ODH's take on Pacquiao - why he was so helpless against him, having been competitive in every other fight he'd been in. I'm not so interested in what he had or has to say about his fight with Pacquiao at this point though.

Dammit. I'd really love to see Pacquiao/PBF - see how that fight plays out. Who controls the pace? I have a feeling Pacquiao's willingness to throw with his opponent would give him the edge in the fight - something neither ODH or Mosley were willing to do, but something Castillo was.

REED STILL has his Suspicions, But Pac's Willingness to Accept SOME Random Pre-Fight Testing (to Fight Floyd) LESSENED those Suspicions a Tad...So Until Something CONCRETE Surfaces, REED'll Look on the BRIGHT SIDE...

    U Should Try it Sometime...

Barrera 1st fight. NOBODY picked Pacquiao to win. Even less thought of Pacquiao DESTROYING Barrera and looking for a way out of the fight.

The first bout with Barrera is indeed a tempting answer. It was Pacquiao's coming-out party, & for a guy expected to roll over against one of the world's top pound-for-pounders, it was shockingly one-sided & savage. I don't think any of his rivals have been held in more formidable standing at the time Pacquiao defeated them than was Barrrera in 2003, so from that angle, you could say it's his most imposing victory.

However, you have to consider the size. Pacquiao was not expected to be destroyed because of a ridiculous stature disadvantage. That, for the most part, was the case when he produced --- to my eyes --- the most out-right stunning & disturbing of his wins...the retirement of De La Hoya. This is very close to the saddest day in my time following Boxing, for me. Maybe the worst of them all. I have always, always been a staunch De La Hoya fan, & watching him reduced to rubble piece-by-piece was heart-wrenching...but it may be Pacquiao's most impressive effort. It was the fight which signalled the coming forth of the man at ridiculously high weights. As you can guess, I am not one to make excuses for De La Hoya, or join the many who have retrospectively downplayed this win. It was & still is huge to me.

It's an open-ended question, ultimately. I remember people in their droves baulking & laughing at the proposed idea on another forum of Pacquiao maybe one day facing Hatton --- probably only eighteen months before it happened. At that point, it was considered a mismatch, probably a two-round KO for Hatton over Pacquiao. Similarly, even as Pacquiao dismantled De La Hoya, Lampley & Merchant joked with ease about Pacquiao taking an absurd fight --- against Margarito.

Well, here we are. Frankly, it's take your pick. Any number of his fights are now candidates. I would go for either Barrera I or De La Hoya, myself.

Pacs biggest punch resistance test was margarito. Against a boxer of similar build, endurance and skill it's between morales/barrera/marquez. Hatton is surely his most devastating and impressive ko win and de la hoya is probably his greatest overall performance.

Since he got the decision i'll say Marquez 2. The fact he wanted no more of Marquez tells me that it was a hard nights work.

Still De La Hoya for me.

Cotto was always chinny, Hatton was never really that good and had already been stopped by mayweather and lost his feeling of invincibility as a result...Clottey had never proven much and Margarito was always a human punching bag. Still those victories are incredibly impressive...no doubt..especially the manner in which they were achieved..but none surprised me the way the De La Hoya fight did. Put it this way...not only did I expect Oscar to win that fight..I expected it to be a mismatch in Oscar's favour.

    Very very impressive performance.

There are three that shocked me. MAB 1, Morales II and DLH. I thought Morales was knockout-proof at the time.
