Chavez is hardly the only one in that list unmentionable in a top-5.

Out of curiosity, who would you have classed as the greater Lightweight --- Whitaker, or Duran?

Of course he bitchfucked everybody's darling, Duran, and got jobbed against Leonard in the rematch. I think you can put Hearns wherever you want on a p4p list, but he's just not as popular to lick as others.

Putting Chavez below 50 is far more ridiculous than putting him at 1.

I have to disagree there. While Chavez certainly makes my top-50, it would be a hell of a lot more reasonable, in my view, to find fifty men ahead of him through history than it would be to put him at number-one --- I know that was a trolling list, but anyone seriously stocking Chavez as numero uno is unforgivable.

While I would definitely pick Duran over Chavez....it wouldn't be easy at all. Great fight imho. Both guys would beat Pryor i think

Agreed on all counts. Duran would definitely be a favourite, but Chavez was a veritable beast at 135, & a push-over for no man. I give him a fairly narrow advantage head-to-head against Pryor, too.

I'll reserve judgement on Pac & Floyd until they fight/retire. If Floyd schools the shit out of Pac allot of things are gonna change in our perceptions.

    Charles should really be in everyone's top-5 --- top-10, at a minimum.

Given their simply astonishing records, I'm assuming you precluded Greb & Langford from your calculations based on the dearth of footage?
