That's all great and everything but he still didn't get it cleared by the comission and he was still way over the normal level. He had 6 times the normal level in his system. Just because it's prescribed doesn't mean it wasn't abused.

Many articles when the test results came in were quoting 6 times over the normal level.

 

A couple other interesting facts.

Sonned claims to have started the hormone therapy before the Okami fight. He got it cleared by the CSAC.

Next he fight Marquartd in Nevada, and does not get it cleared and doesn't test positive for anything. Kieth Kaizer has confirmed that he never attempted to get it cleared there for any fight and has not texted positive for anything. So if he did use it he was within the normal range.

When you are on hormone replacement therapy it's permanent, you don't just stop doing it, your body will crash. One you're on the replacement therapy your body makes even less of it on it's own.

Personally, I think Sonnen is just full of shit and just trying to save face a bit.

 

Of course he's full of shit, they alway's have some kind of excuses when they teswt positive and Sonnen one is among the lamest I've heard.

 

And if commision starts to allow HRT, they may just as well allow PED.

 

I think Matt Hughes and Randy Couture are also on HRT.

 

He should have just stuck with one of the classics like "I didn't know i was taking anything illegal."

 

It doesnt matter. Sonnen had his title shot - performed well......then got busted cheating. Showed that A Silva has a chank or 2 in his armor. Sonnen could not have carried a PPV main event with any other opponent, even if he were champion. So he gets suspended.....GOOD! I dont wanna see Sonnen-Bisping, Sonnen-Marquardt, Sonnen-Wandy or Sonnen-anything for that matter. 1-dimensional wrestler humper lay-n-prayer snoozefest every time. And dont tell me about his stand up. Please.

 

:: Agreed. The ONLY thing Sonned ever did that was a little exciting was ALMOST beat Silva. It wasn't actually anything he did that made it exciting it was only exciting because Silva wasn't winning.

Sonnen = Boring as fuck.

 

Man, that is dead on. I rewatched the Silva-Sonnnen fight and couldn't believe how absolutely dreadful it was knowing the outcome. The only thing that made it fun the first time around was the uncertainty.
