    Um, no.

Jackson chased his arse down in all 3 rounds, and landed more punches.

Machida landed a few kicks in round 1, did FUCK ALL in round 2, and obviously won round 3 clearly.

Round 1 could have gone either way, round 2 Rampage clearly won, and round 3 Machida clearly won.

Rampage deserved the victory on effort like BTG just said. It should teach Machida a lesson, you don't win fights by running like a fwaaaaaggot.

No shit. Machida had leg kicks, Knees, Punches, etc. Watch the fight again. And dont just watch the black guy in the ring.

He was choosing his shots like he ALWAYS does. Chasing someone around the ring and not landing on someone backing away and landing doesnt mean shit.

i watched the fights at hooters and there were a bunch of pro-machida folks who thought he lost the first two rounds. i thought it was a fair decision. jackson's reaction to the decision was akin to mosley when he got the W vs oscar in the rematch.

HUGE props to Rampage, he made it a much closer fight than I thought he would. He came out aggressive and closed the distance. Machida likes aggressive opponents but he doesn't like to be crowded. He needs space to get off. Very close fight, and I think some here are disregarding the work that Machida was doing with his kicks and knees.

I cant believe Machida didn't use more leg kicks.

I agree. He's going to need to make that a big part of his offense from this point forward. Everyone he faces from now on will try cutting of the cage, crowding him, and he needs his opponents to be fairly stationary. The leg kicks will help slow his opponents down and give him the space he needs to use his distance.

No, not really. He was involved in some exchanges and attacked at times.

To me he didn't look much different than the Machida of past fights win or lose.

Check out any Machida fight prior to his KO of Rashad. It was textbook 'lateral sprint while dodging a fighter coming forward' Machida stuff. They got caught up in the clinch quite a bit. Rampage threw more heel stomps than anything else. 3rd round was very action packed.

Sounds like another disappointing cage fighting card.

Not even close. Main event was lacking. All in all, a total of 9 fights were broadcast last night. How many fights did HBO give us? Hmmmmm.......

The cage fighting was $50, you meatball. Of course there were more fights.

Besides, I've always been a quality over quantity guy.

LMAO! Thats such a great word. I freakin LOVE meatballs. I didnt pay $50. Watched on a live stream. Wasnt worth the $$ for sure. Still, free fights are wayyyy better than none at all.

There was nothing disappointing about that card.

Watching Sotiropolous cement himself as one of the top LW's in the world with a great sub of Lauzon or Phil Davis twisting off Tim Boetsch's arm or Penn demolishing Hughes or the Munoz-Simpson war were all pretty good in my opinion.

Machida-Jackson was exactly what you would expect from that matchup. Machida moving and Jackson stalking with few, but very scary, exchanges.

Seriously though, watching Penn land that beautiful right hand on Matt's chin was worth every penny of PPV cost for this event. BJ keeps himself a relevant name at 155 or 170 with that win.

Didn't expect BJ Penn to win, let alone by 21 second KO. Great win for him.

Wow, you would figure that with all the bannings and mod power on display around here on a regular basis and sometimes simply for the sake of flexing, that someone would put an end to this type of trolling.

It's ridiculous that someone who didn't even watch the event would come into a thread simply to bash the sport. Why not stay in the boxing section and talk about the barn burner that was Williams-Martinez?

There's plenty of room for both sports to do well. I like watching both, but would choose the boxing event over the UFC event if I had to.

Dont let this dipshit start that dumb debate again. Funny how as much shit as he talks about it, I see him in the MMA forums more than I do the boxing forums.
