He went the distance with Duran. The two aren't comparable. Duran is one of the very best fighters ever, and actually beat people at 154 and 160, unlike Marquez.

We're not talking about Mosley, we're talking about Marquez. Roy thinks it's a legit win for Floyd.

I give Floyd a lot of credit for the fight actually. Marquez is a great fighter. If size was everything than Margarito, Clottey, Cotto would have all whitewashed Pacquiao.

Marquez is one of the greatest fighters ever, not as high as Duran of course.

The fact still remains Duran was a fat lightweight fighting Hagler at 160.

    Marquez to welterweight 12lbs

    Duran to middleweight 25lbs

Marquez did it for the money. He knew he had no business at 147, which is why he's moved straight back down to lightweight.

Fighters moving up in weight challenging other fighters isn't a joke.

What is a joke is fighters dragging fighters up 2 weight classes to fight at a weight they've never fought at before, like Floyd did with Marquez.

Most people had Marquez beating Pacquiao in the rematch it was like 70% of press row.

Since when is Marquez a natural lightweight?

    He's a career featherweight.

    Duran to middleweight 25 lbs.

    Marquez to welterweight 21 lbs.

Marquez is one of the best FEATHERWEIGHTS ever, not welterweights, the weight Floyd has fought at for 5 years.

Yep, that was a joke of a fight, that I thought Oscar would win with ease.

When Pac moves up it's to challenge himself when Marquez does it it's a joke.

If Pac could move up in weight so succesfully then why not Marquez. Of course Marquez fought the winner of Mayweather-De la Hoya not the loser so he took the bigger risk and the tougher fight.

Well he didn't. Fighters move up in weight all the time. Lots of fighters have moved up in weight in boxing. It's not like hes the first fight a guy coming up.

MWS, why are you seriously answering rjjrp4p's posts? He is so obviously trolling, and you just took the bait. Trolls are best to be ignored.

Because Pacquiao is younger, faster, stronger, and far more suited to the higher weight classes. Pacquiao is truly the exception to the rule.

And Marquez didn't "move up and challenge himself".

Floyd cherry picked him and he accepted the payday. If he was moving up to challenge himself, he'd have fought at 147 before or after Floyd.

Any legit criticism of Pacquiao is trolling. Is this the boxing section or the MMA section because you sound like one of them mma fanboys that don't accept any criticism of their amateur sport.

You're probably right, but because he is a regular poster, he crosses the fine line between a troll and blind Floyd groupie.

If you don't hate on Mayweather it makes you a troll. Mayweather has accomplished a lot in boxing, it's pretty sad that people can't give him an ounce of credit for it.

Not legit criticism, you are distorting some facts in your arguments wonderfully just like dymipepel used to do. Duran for example had shitloads of high caliber wins in the near weightclasses before the Hagler fight, while Marquez had exacly ZERO, yet you still consider their circumstances similar, or arguing that making Marquez go up two weightclasses doesn't matter, it doesn't change anything... Beautiful Dymipepel stuff.

I was actually refering to Haglers inability to KO Duran, because MWS stated that Floyd should have KO'd Marquez.
