    What the fuck?!?

Fuck it, Gerald should just go to SF. The UFC obviously have some type of vendetta against him.

Furthermore, I think he'd have a shot at gold in SF. Jacare would hav a tough time getting him down, and he's not exactly his stand up is average with a poor chin.

I don't think anyone should have to keep kissing the UFC's ass like this. Dana is power tripping now, I thought the Todd Duffee cut was terrible, but this takes the cake.

Hmm, well that's downright unfair and slightly absurd.

9 fight win streak, 3-0 in the UFC and he gets kicked off the UFC for ONE loss??

That kind of contradicts the statement common amongst MMA fans that in contrast to boxing, losses aren't that big a deal, which is something I often think too.

wow poor guy. I literally two hours ago read an interview with him where he was very humble in defeat and was saying how fortunate he is to still have a job with ufc !!

I think the the UFC has always had it out for Harris. If you remember, after TUF he was shocked as well as many others that he was one of the only fighters not given another fight in the UFC. He racks up a huge win streak and gets signed, only to be matched up with the top MW prospects that the UFC had. Mario Miranda and Dave Branch were both very highly touted, and I believe Harris was favoured to lose both. Then he wins three impressive fights, and instead if giving him an established fighter that'd he easily beat, like say Jorge Rivera, or Dan Miller, he gets an unknown striker out of Brasil who overwhelms him with superior striking technique.

I like the logic though, cut a guy for being tentative to engage with a far superior striker who's already rocked you twice, while he sits back and does nothing waiting for you to attack him and get KO'd. Yep, it was Gerald's fault, how dare he not charge his exhausted body hopelessly swinging for the fences against a high level striker, Forrest Griffin style and risk being a victim to a career changing brutal KO?

Meanwhile, utter wastes of space like Dan Miller remain in the UFC. Two of the most boring and pathetic matches I've ever witnessed, back to back. Being outkickboxed by Demian fucking Maia, and then losing a 1-2 fest to Bitchbing, which capped of the dreaded 3 fight losing streak of doom, and what does the UFC do? Give him a bum like Salter, whom Harris KO'd in his debut in KOTN perfomance.

Bullshit. I hope Gerald tells them to go fuck themselves and go signs with SF for the rest of his career. Then if he does sign, just Rampage them.

Well, it's that and the best fighters always fight each other.... which hasn't been true for a few years now.

This was an awesome post TLC, and I agree 100% Harris will be a very live contender in SF, plus Strikeforce can actually market him a bit as being a victim of politics while winning 3 out of 4 fights in the UFC. Harris will not be unemployed for long.

What people don't realize is that Dana is going to be forced to cut some pretty good fighters. The UFC just can't accommodate all of the fighters. It's just getting too big. This will strengthen other orgs rosters and start to give the UFC some competition.

The funny thing is I came away from that fight thinking "Man, I hope I never have to see Falcao again." He did nothing other than hurt Harris with a couple of single punches. Plus he held that choke for way toooo long after the bell in Round 2. He should have been DQ'd for that.

It's disappointing because Harris had been fun to watch up until this fight. I agree with TLC and Jarhead. He'll be a nice additiona to SF.

Really? What top fighters in the UFC haven't fought other top fighters in their division over the last couple years?

That would be an intelligent conversation and debate. He is referring to fighters outside the UFC not fighting fighters inside the UFC. Great logic.

That would be the easy way out of the debate for SD. However, fans claim that the UFC regularly pits their top fighters against each other and no one gets an easy road.

I won't argue that Cain hasn't faced Fedor or Penn hasn't faced Alvarez. But the UFC never throws cans at their top guys. You can say many bad things about Dana and even some about the UFC, but they give fans the top fights.

Hell, Lesnar just gets done going through hell with Carwin and less than 4 months later the UFC has him try and defend the belt against Cain Velasquez.

Counter that with a look at the recent history of boxing's best Heavyweight. And you find the UFC ain't boxing wherein the WBC let's Vitali Klitschko defend against a virtual unknown in Albert Sosnowski and then against 85 year old Shannon Briggs in back-to-back defenses. Laughable.

It's a comparison SD won't debate and can't possibly win.

I dont think so. Due to the UFC exclusivity deals, putting a fighter on the shelf would cut his ability to make money and I would think they would look for work elsewhere.

Yeah, I won't debate it because I was talking about MMA, not UFC. Look at the post I quoted.

Actually, I wouldn't be suprised if it is because Gerald rubbed Dana the wrong way. Egomaniac Dana can be a dickhead like that.

I agree Bob. Tyson Griffin bows at the Dana White alter so he will remain employed for a good 2 or 3 more losses. Gerald gets beat once, he's done. You know Gerald did something to piss Dana off. Anyone else think Roy Nelson is on a short leash? I would not be suprised if he is cut if he loses again.

Ha. Isn't there more to MMA than just the UFC? Or are you only a UFC fan, Trpl?

My post, and the one I quoted, were quite clear. The UFC does a nice job of matching up its best fighters.

Yeah, it is just completely strange. I mean Harris has fought 4 times this year and a couple of those have been either as a replacement or with a replacement. He seems like the type of game fighter the UFC loves to keep on the roster.

With Nelson, Dana's hands are a little more tied. I know he'd love to dump him with another loss. It is obvious he can't stand the guy. Unfortunately I would assume he has to pay him one way or the other with the TUF contract win.

To be honest with you, I would love to hear how any of the major MMA organizations have failed to match THEIR top fighters over the last few years..

And yes, the guy that makes a post about every MMA event under the sun is JUST a UFC fan. Good call.
