Buchanan, handy. 8-4 I reckon. Buchanan handled Duran pretty okay for 14 rounds. Buchanan is one fighter I would pick to beat Manny Pac.
Not sure I agree Buchanan handled Duran even, "pretty okay." I thought it was Duran from early-on, but I tend to agree that Hatton comes up short here, nonetheless.
You've haven't been reading the Scottish press have you, mate? :: 'Scottish champion Ken Buchan, who was unjustly robbed of his world title on a blatant low blow tells us why he's still bitter at the injustice'. Yakady yak. Before UGTBK gets in I'll say it first - Buchan actually fought at (actually at) 135lb or below - he never even weighed 140lb at a weight in once. Hatton was consistently at 148lb by fight time. He's a welterweight in 1972. Hell, Buchanan is probably a FEATHERWEIGHT during his prime today. Too much, IMO, given the style clash. Had they been the same size I'd pick Buchanan to win a close one. Two of the best British fighters ever, no doubt and a fascinating style clash.
You forgot to point out that according to UGTBK Hatton is better than Duran. Otherwise, good job:bears:
Buchanan might be a little too small here, but even allowing for that, he still more than good enough to lose, at worst, a close decision
