Of course, you make welterweights and junior middleweights fight you below the division limit, and you make the lightweight fight you at 147.

But seriously, Marquez and Mosley? How many rounds did they win, combined, against Mayweather?

    Don't care to watch either.

as much as i'd like to see marquez win, i can't see him sustain enough damage to win a clean decision. if anything, i see a comfortable decision win for manny.

You think Marquez goes along for the ride like Barrera?

That's the only way I see it going 12.

Their last fight was at 129, not 140 or 147...and Marquez is getting in FOTY fights with lightweights...and not particularly great ones. Diaz and Katsidis are good fighters, they're aren't p4p'ers. (BTW, I'm referencing the first Diaz fight, not the second, which he entered on basically a three fight losing streak.)

If not another welterweight, I'd at least rather see Pacquiao fight some junior welter instead of Marquez.

I will say this about Pac fighting either JMM or Mosley. At least he fought all the best guys @ 147 first and then settled on these geezers. He's fighting who is left and not fighting them because he's scared of the top dogs like that pussy junior.

As well as Roach, he was the first one to say that if Marquez wants a fight it will have to be at Welter. Also seems they want to lowball Marquez and not give him "5 cents more" than he made against Floyd. Was that 500k?

The rematch took place 4 years after the first and everyone said that Manny was 4 years better and JMM was 4 years older. It was true but the fight had the same result. If anything the rematch was closer.

I do think that at 147 JMM is at a disadvantage. But JMM's success against Manny has nothing to do with size, power, or speed.

Manny has always had those advantages over JMM. It's JMM's skill, smarts, and heart that put together really tests Manny every second of every round.

I'm not surprised both Manny and Arum are always trying to discredit JMM like there is better fights for Manny out there.

I don't want Berto. The guy doesn't even want the fight. He was asked several times and he is almost forced to say he wants Pacquiao right now.

why would I pay money to see Pacquiao beat up a guy who hasn't showned shit in his carreer and is reluctant to call out Pacquiao?:scratcher:

Hell even Bradley was bold about calling out Pacquiao. that's another thing I like about JMM that he is never impressed by Pacquiao and thinks he is superior. I think his attitude plays apart everytime they fight each other.

Even if Pacquiao has an easier time this time I think JMM has enough to give him trouble.

not only is he concerned but he hates him. Ever since JMM pulled out of the rematch and his dumb ass ended up in Indonesia. He left Arum hanging and was replaced with Morales for that first fight with Pacquiao.

I remember he put both Marquez brothers on the shelf and made it hard for them to get out the Top Rank contracts. Both JMM and RAfa clamed Arum robed them on a few fights.

But Arum knows JMM is always a hard fight and tries to sell the fact that nobody wants the fight. :notallthere:

I do respect Ariza who keeps saying that Pacquiao could make 140 easy and is calling for the JMM fight.

and Pacquiao saying the fight won't sell if bullshit. Manny will make his 20 million guaranteed for every fight. since when is he concerned about ppv numbers?

Not sure why FM gets to fight Marquez at 147, but Mayweather supporters demand that Pac fight him at 140?

I'd rather see him stay at 147 and fight Berto. Even if he fights Mosley then at least it'll shut up the argument that Hopkins made the other day about some perceived reluctance on Pac's part to fight American black fighters.

Plus they find it OK that FM didn't even bother to try to make weight, but because they paid Marquez it should be no big deal. Ridiculous.

Both Pacquiao and Floyd are doing the exact same thing Roy Jones did staying at light heavyweight. They are using their speed and fighting slower ill equipped fighters to make money. Either guys passed their prime or haven't had a prime. it's shit.

JMM is the man and he's earned a rematch with beating the best and fighting on par with Pacquiao in their two encounters.

Let's make it happen. And for the Pacquiao fans that don't want it to happen it's simply because they know the only man capable of making Pacquiao look bad is Marquez

Not sure why anyone wants to see Pacquiao fight Marquez after seeing him (at 142) against Mayweather.

I had more interest in Mayweather-Baldomir than Pacquiao-Marquez III (in 2011, at least).

If there was a time for the media to campaign heavily for a third fight with Pacquiao, it was long before he was dropped by Michael Katsidis.

Fights aren't won on a knockdown. He destroyed the guy and the referee probably saved Katsidis from a career ending beating.

However, Marquez is maxed out in wait. They don't make great steroids in Mexico, only in the Philippines.

    Oh, okay.

Even if Marquez and Pacquiao were both on roids, I don't see Marquez winning.

Howver, if it was stipulated that Marquez could be on some enhancers but Pacquiao couldn't, maybe you'd have something there.

What do you base this theory on? If they fought at 140lbs you don't think Marquez could win? Weird since Marquez has won more rounds against Pacquiao than anybody he has ever faced. More so, one could argue that Marquez has won more rounds than Pacquaio when they've faced each other. So help me here?

He's won rounds against him, yes, but he's also been dropped and hurt by him...and that was against a Pacquiao that was weighing in the 120's, not the 140's.

He's also been dropped and hurt by lightweights who aren't Pacquiao.

Pacquiao-Marquez III at 140 should probably be talked about as a mythical match-up, and that may be true for anything below 147.
