This is a fight I won't even bothering catching afterwards, there isn't an ounce of suspense about the outcome. Fuck Bob Arum.

Since pac won't take a drug test and fight Floyd... This fight should be good!

No one should be surprised by this. Pac will get credit for fighting Mosley while PBF won't.

Good, hope Pac beats Mosley enough to make him hang the gloves.

He should have a rematch with Floyd. He doesn't need roids, but maybe Parkinson's medication will help.

Funny, looks like the exact opposite to me. Floyd got credit, Manny is getting shit on. If it's good for Floyd it's good for Manny. It's not like Mayweather put some career ending beating on Mosley. He's the same fucking guy Floyd just fought.

Here you go Sly, this one is for you and everyone demanding Pac face a black american fighter. You asked for it, you got it.

    There are differences.

Floyd fought Mosley after Mosley beat Margarito.

Manny is fighting Mosley after Mosley lost to PBF and tied with Mora. It's a still a decent fight for Manny, better than the Clottey fight IMO.

If Pac fights Marquez at 147, he'll get credit but Floyd won't. It's the same pattern over and over with their common opponents but Floyd has fought their common opponents when they were in better shape than when Manny has.

Yeah and he's the same guy that Floyd fans were masturbating over Floyd having the huge testicular fortitude to agree to fight.

This fight sucks. Mosley looked awful against Floyd and Mora.

I honestly think a JMM fight would be better and more competitive than Mosley, at least until Marquez gets KO'd.

Mayweather was justified in taking the Mosley fight and Pacquaio isn't. It's really simple. Do you guys follow boxing?

And he did agree to fight him, and beat him, and now that he's done so, how can anybody say they want to see him against Pacquiao?

I think it's a shame there's any actual public support for Pacquiao to fight either one.

i disagree. mayweather jr caught mosley at the right time when he was rusty and inactive. pacquiao should get more credit if he fights a now active and sharp mosley!

You think Marquez was in better shape when he fought Mayweather at 147 than he was when he fought Pacquaio at 130? Really?

    God-awful match-making.

How much longer can these two dance around one another, swapping rivals like trading cards? It's just flat-boring at this point, & I can honestly say I will pursue no means to see, hear, or learn anything about this fight.

    What a farce.

yep, and Floyd was given a ton of credit for that fight. I only ask that Pac is given the same credit. He's no more shot now than he was when he faced Floyd.

The difference being that everyone has now seen Mosley lose 11 of 12 rounds to Mayweather.

But you can go ahead and act like the fight never happened.

To me, the equation is simple. i think it's being over-complicated & nuanced here.

Mosley was shot when he faced Mayweather.

    Mosley is shot now.

The only reason I will be giving Pacquiao less credit for this fight is because Mosley no longer is of serious relevance. He was the division's champion when Mayweather took him on, & even though we all knew Mosley was an aged & fading force, the fact he held the legitimate championship made him a viable Mayweather opponent, & I don't care how much you hate Mayweather, that is a legitimate course for any fighter in history to take. You can't fault someone for fighting the champ of his division, whether the incumbent is twenty, thirty or fifty.

This is why Pacquiao won't get the same credit. It's another meaningless bout designed to cynically bilk the public for all the Pacquiao Money-Machine is worth (Mayweather is just as guilty), except Mayweather took the fight when it was division-relevant.

To that extent, Mayweather should get more credit than Pacquiao for battling Mosley, or at least, the fight should be more excusable (in the absence of a fight with Pacquiao). Pacquiao, on the other hand, is only fighting Mosley because of his name, & the, "What If This Big Name Fought That Big Name?" value. As far as Mosley being a different & lesser fighter to the one Mayweather fought, though, & therefore Pacquiao deserves less credit in that context? Please. There is exactly nought to back that up. It's the same Mosley.
