This fight is pointless, Pacquiao shouldn't be fighting him.

Floyd pointlessly dragged the 36 year old Marquez up from lightweight, and now Pacquiao is fighting the almost 40 year old Mosley after he has lost to Floyd.

But at least Mosley is bigger than Pacquiao, not 2 weight divisions smaller.

That fight wasn't pointless at all. Certainly no more pointless than the Baldomir fight for Floyd.

It was a chance to move up in weight and pick up the WBC lightweight title.

 

Diaz was the weakest guy with a belt at 135, he got a gift over Morales who won 1 fight out of 5.

Baldomir was the legit undisputed champ, there not comparable at all, that is of course if you don't blow Manny and hate Floyd.

Keep telling yourself that fight was more meaningful than a Marquez trilogy.

 

What is he supposed to do, fight Marquez every single fight for the remainder of his career if Marquez calls him out? ::

They are the same thing. Both fighters suck, and are glorified journeymen. Both fights were the opportunity to pick a belt and nothing more.

What people forget is that Zab was undisputed when Baldomir beat him. Then they forget that Floyd beat them both.

He won a decision over an unmotivated, always inconsistent Zab Judah. Everyone knew he sucked even after that win. It was simply an easy chance for Floyd to pick up those titles.

 

Yeah and the TOP welterweights at the time...guys like Margarito, Williams, Clottey, and Cotto would beat the living shit out of Bumdomir and Judah...lucky for Mayweather he got to those two easy marks first...
