So it proves that Floyd was the legit undisputed welterweight champion of the world and still is.

Hell, even Mosley was perceived as THE welterweight champion when Floyd beat him. This revisionist history crap is irritating.

All you can do is post the little violin smiley because there's nothing you can say, because you know it's true.

Floyd's resume for the most recent 5 or 6 years is pathetic.

Floyd makes Roy look like one of the bravest fighters in boxing history.

This was 2006. Before any of the "other" welterweights were fighting one another.

Paul Wiliams fought David Kamau on the undercard of PBF/Baldomir for crying out loud.

Zab Judah was THE UNDISPUTED WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPION before he fought Baldomir. Margarito,Cotto,Clottey and Williams had NO TITLES at that time.

    There's nothing revisionist about it.

A title is a title. Everyone knew baldomir sucked, only hardcore Floyd huggers try to argue otherwise.

Barrera was considered the featherweight champ without even holding a title.

Cotto/Margarito/Williams should never have been considered "the REAL welterweight" champion because none of them defeated Floyd, who was and is the real welterweight champion.

Like it or not, Baldomir AND Judah were THE welterweight champions before Floyd and he beat them both.

To the idiots talking about fights like Larios for Pacquiao, let's look at Floyd's resume since Castillo.

Sosa and Ndou, then Corley coming off a loss, and Bruseles coming off a draw.

What an incredible run of fights! The bravery!

Then in his first fight at 147, he fights Mitchell, a borderline shot 140 pounder.

He then fights Judah, coming off a LOSS.

And then fights the mighty Baldomir.

Then shot Oscar, managing a split decision. Then 140 pounder Hatton, then featherweight Marquez, then 40 year old Mosley.

If you're a Floyd fan, you can't say a fucking thing about Pacquiao's resume.

    Utter nonsense.

Mosley, De La Hoya...criticize them all you wish...but when Floyd fought them they were coming off impressive dominating knockout wins against Margarito and Mayorga respectively.

Hatton was young and undefeated..had proved himself in stoppages over well respected fighters called Tszyu and Castillo.

Judah and Baldomir were the top 2 Welterweights in the world when Floyd moved up to that division.

People want to talk about how Marquez was small...as if that's the first time in history a fighter has taken on a smaller great fighter. A great fighter is a great fighter..if Mayweather wasn't as good as he is he wouldn't have dominated Marquez (who had proven himself in fights with Pacquiao, Barrera, Casamayor and Diaz)..regardless of the natural size difference.

Hagler didn't dominate Duran, for example.

    MWS...what's wrong with you?

Floyd should go the Pacquiao way. He should beatdown Margarito and Cotto now and let his fans do the rest of the work like the Pacquiao fans and claim Floyd beating them now is just as meaningful as when Pacquiao got to them first.

Are you guys honestly arguing that Floyds recent resume is better than Mannys?

I'm honestly not sure. They seem to be desperately clutching at straws.

I think that might be what they are suggesting.

Floyd fans, is that what you're suggesting, that Floyd's resume in the most recent few years is better than Pacquiao's?

I don't think none is, everyone seems to be just making a point to Pacquiao nuthuggers that you can't go and trash Floyd like has the worst resume ever and then proclaim Pacquiao the greatest ever. Simple as that.

Pacquiao moved from 135 to 147 and inside of 24 months took a GIANT shit on Mayweather resume(destroying DLH and Hatton) & destroyed Cotto, Margarito and Clottey....3 guys that Mayweather never got around to fighting..and he has been at WELTER for 4-5 years...

Career wise Pacquiao resume is better than Mayweater...at 147 Pac resume is better than Mayweather....

If Pacquiao fights the older versions it counts just as the undefeated younger versions because he is a former flyweight rememba!

    Exactly!

    Like.I.said.before.

If you want to criticize Floyd for not fighting Margarito, Cotto and Cintron....then you must criticize Pac for not fighting Berto, Mosley and Judah.

    Can't have it both ways..

How many have to be dedicated to this topic?

They should just create a resume forum to go alongside mythical match-ups.

Have you SEEN their fight? Baldomir was getting LIT when he started complaining of headbutts. I'm not sure but ref was from Argentina. Clottey AHEAD on all 3 cards.

So if Mayweather FINALLY gets in the ring with Pacquaio in 2014 and beats him, should it be discounted because he beat Pacquaio 4 years after Manny was the best p4p FIGHTER in the world?

Doesn't matter about the Clottey win/loss/dq really. That was before he won the title, only PBF haters would point to that to discredit Baldomir.

Yeah, if PBF beats Manny in 2014 it should be discounted.

I wasn't the one shouting from the hills Mayweather beat Judah and Baldomir....

If their careers were to be over today, Pacquaio AHEAD of Mayweather in ALL categories.

Mayweather NEEDS to fight Pacquaio but he is more interested in other things rather than concentrate on his CAREER.

The sad thing is Floyd would be FAVORED to beat Pacquaio at 147 and rightly so. He is the more technical, bigger, stronger FIGHTER.
