    December (Doubleheader)

    Cunnnigham vs. Lebedev (IBF)
    Huck vs. Herelius (WBO/WBA unification)

    January

    Wlodarczyk vs. Hernandez (WBC)

Got to love Sauerland. Lebedev was actually Huck´s mandatory. Now Huck gets the WBA belt gift-wrapped in his fight with Herelius, while Cunningham has to fight tough top contender Lebedev.

They should've included Jones-Brudov, made it single elimination with true unification in semis and finals. Could've had a true cruiserweight king by next summer.

With Guillermo Jones in it?

    Nice.

Huck likes to bang and Herelius is a power horse that can survive a hell of a beating. Could catch Huck!

What makes u think he can survive a hell of a beating? Has he ever?

I think Huck ices him pretty quickly he didn't look too sturdy when Arslan got to him...

Are any of these fights going to be on HBO or Showtime?

  8. Jake

    Touche.

Although, without King's involvement, maybe Jones fights a little more often than once every leap year.

Any idea why King seems to ignore certain fighters and put them on the shelf? Is he spread too thin (which it doesn't seem like these days) or vindictive or playing favorites or ??? That's one aspect of King that I've never understood.

  10. Jake

Jake WBC Silver Diamond Emeritus Champ

No clue. And it's long ago caught up to him at the box office. I can't recall the last legitimate draw he's had in his stable. People want to do backflips over Devon Alexander drawing 9,000+ for the Kotelnik fight and praise King for his ability to sell an event, but that's an exception.

    Cory Spinks?

  12. Jake

Was going to say him. The only huge night he had was the Judah fight, but yeah I suppose he could be considered a draw that King developed.

Probably moreso one that his father and uncle developed.

Huck is a strong but limited fighter. He lacks pedigree or finesse and attempts to make up for it with his pressure and strength. Cunningham already handed his ass a beating.

  15. BOSS

    BOSS TBD

Never heard of Herelius or Hernandez. What do you guys think of the match ups? Who takes them? I think Cunningham Lebedev is the most interesting of them all..

  16. Irish

    Irish Yuge, Beautiful

Enzo Maccarinelli should be in this.

  17. Jake

Jake WBC Silver Diamond Emeritus Champ

why, to play the role of Jermain Taylor?

(I know your real reasons, so consider it a rhetorical question )

Marco Huck-Denis Lebedev this Saturday...should be a good one.

So he can enhance Hayes legacy.

I think it's about whether or not he feels he can make actual money putting on the show.

  21. mikE

    mikE "Twinkle Toes" McJack

Yeah, but in the past he would just throw them on a different card as an undercard. Seems like he is getting shut out of showtime/hbo these days, but that doesn't answer why he did it before.

  22. mikE

    mikE "Twinkle Toes" McJack

Too bad this one isn't televised in the us afaik.

  23. Mitchell Kane

Mitchell Kane WBC Silver Diamond Emeritus Champ

Yeah, I've seen nothing about ESPN3 picking up an internet feed or anything.

The only networks I've seen for it are Germany's ARD, Poland's Polsat Sport, and Hungary DigiSport.

  24. Double L

    Double L Book Reader

    undercard of who?

yeah it explains it entirely. you think DK had financially viable spots for all of his fighters? clearly he doesn't and didn't.

and it's why he's been accused so often of not honoring his fighters' contracts.

Cruiserweight is Loserweight. You don't need to see these fights.......

He gets beat up in ever fight! The Arslan fight he took shots as well. The guy is offended if you miss him!hahaha:Ramonza:He is very strong and heavy handed; watch out Huck!!!:Chainsaw:

    Lebedev will stop this guy.

Word. Cruiserweight is the :boring: division of boxing.

  29. mikE

I think Don King had enough spots for his fighters that he could bury Ricardo Lopez on his untelevised undercards for most of his career, that he could bury world title fights like nazarov/leavander on untelevised undercards, that he could make Keith Holmes rich, that he could make Cory Spinks rich, that he could have 4 televised world title fights in when mayorga fought spinks and still have an untelevised undercard title fight.

    Clearly, he did.

herelius is a herky jerk type of guy but throws a lot of punches and hits fairly hard. his fight vs. that hungarian guy was pretty fun to watch.

i havent seen hernandez nor lebedev
