Why? Because he got hit a few times? A lot of you guys have obviously not seen a lot of Khan's earlier fights. Getting hit and hurt has been par for the course for this lad over the last six years... MTF :dunno:
Which would lead to a violent ending vs Tszyu. I never saw a Tszyu fight in which he got a guy seriously hurt, and didnt close the show. In both his losses... Philips & Hatton were able to take his punches extremely well. Tszyu getting him in the type of trouble Maidana did, and Khan would have been a goner. Tszyu wasnt a crude, wild swinging caveman like Chino.
Possibly the MAG fight. However, before that fight, Tszyu had warned that he would be going back to his amateur roots and promised an "Artists" performance, which he duly delivered, leading Boxing Monthly to run with the headline "Artistic Execution" for their report on that fight. Outside of Tszyu, I would say, at that time, probably only Tito Trinidad or Roy Jones were showing the same sort of efficient husbandry in their fights, with not one punch wasted, every blow made-to-order, total efficiency. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kPmE5AKpU90 EDIT: Breaking my balls laughing at the Showtime commentary..... "We're gonna find out now if power has an advantage over boxing" {note the "boxer" they were referring to, MAG, was being totally outboxed and overpowered, via outboxing} Bobby "Mensa" Czyz..."I cannot understand what is holding him {MAG} up...his head was almost...perpendicular to his shoulders"...:scratcher: :scratcher: isnt that what it is supposed to be????
Khan taking the shots MAG took in the 5th round, and A Mere would be getting interviewed post-fight by Howard Cosell.
:laugh11: Thats if Cosell hadnt fucked off back to purgatory in disgust at what he was witnessing in the ring.
